I read somewhere and seen some early art of it, then some show him shirtless.
I mean he fits the Disney profile too wear them as he's got long thin legs and a small behind.
I admit I always feel a little unconfortable with all the guys with their rear ends showing.

He was indeed.
The early model of Kit had him wearing pants but no shirt and a red bandana (akin to the one seen in Plunder and Lightning). This was the original draft and storyboard version of TaleSpin that was presented to Disney.
The final version tweaked quite a few things about the series, among others:
-Baloo's model (claws removed, different shirt) -Kit's model (no bandana, baseball cap, sweater rather than pants) -Rebecca's model (Hairstyle, clothes, overall changed to more 'maternal') -Molly's model (Made younger, different clothes) -Sea Duck model (cannon removed from hold, double tail boom)
All in all, the whole look of the series was altered to be more in line with the family friendly image of Disney and updated to fit more modern animation techniques. Some of the early art can still be found in pre-production advertising packs.
Factoid of the day: Kit's cloudsurfing wasn't changed between pre-production and production, and was in fact one of the points that won Disney over to actually produce the series.

Seen them, I've also seen pictures of him the way he was finally done except wearing pants.
The final version tweaked quite a few things about the series, among others:
-Baloo's model (claws removed, different shirt) He changed the least. -Kit's model (no bandana, baseball cap, sweater rather than pants) I liked the Bandana. -Rebecca's model (Hairstyle, clothes, overall changed to more 'maternal') I'd like too see that! -Molly's model (Made younger, different clothes) How much younger? -Sea Duck model (cannon removed from hold, double tail boom) Seen it, other guys fly that model in the series.
All in all, the whole look of the series was altered to be more in line with the family friendly image of Disney and updated to fit more modern animation techniques. Some of the early art can still be found in pre-production advertising packs.

Hello Kitckicker and welcome! To add to this topic, you can find a whole article and pictures of the character's old design here : http://www.animationsource.org/talespin ... &id_film=9Here's how Kit (and Molly) looked : Quote: -Sea Duck model (cannon removed from hold, double tail boom) What, the Sea Duck had cannons?? I can't see that on my (only) picture of it.

Hi Steet, and glad to be here I've been on and off in the Talespin fandom for well over a decade now, wrote some fanfiction of dubious quality (looking back on it now) in the past, had a small fanfiction site but slowly drifted away as the years passed. Back now, and glad to be. As for the original Seaduck, I've seen at least one promo picture of pre-production Talespin that shows Kit manning a small cannon mounted on an extended bracket from the hold of the Sea Duck, firing at air pirates in hot pursuit. The character design clearly shows it to be a pre-production promo image made well before the show was approved for production. Wish I still had it somewhere, but most of my stuff was lost in a succession of hard drive failures. Clearly the intention was to go the 'merchantman' route where a cargo plane would be armed with a single cannon for self defense against pirates, but the idea was axed during production.

I think at one point they took the pants he was wearing in that design and put them on the final one but removed them later.
