I thought I would make a post here about how to go about buying TaleSpin stuff just because it is getting harder and harder to find and someone might ask themselves where to begin looking.

Well if it isn't obvious yet ebay is your best bet although there are some sites that are selling the Playmates 1991 figures if you just google search them. Don Karnage is by far the hardest one to find especially one that is brand new. All of the others pop up every so often (except wildcat, gibber, and mad dog however it is in question whether they were even produced or not).

They also made planes to go along with the figures, Karnage's fighter (the toy is named "Tr-Wing Terror") and of course the Sea Duck. I would've payed big bucks to have seen an Iron Vulture made. If you see either of these planes regardless of condition grab them because they are perhaps even more rare than the figures.

Here is a list of the figures: http://www.virtualtoychest.com/tailspin/tailspin.html

Here are some sites where you might find the Playmates figures:

Also there were kellogs toys and mcdonalds toys but the Playmates stuff is what you want.

I have quite a few TaleSpin merchandise, most that I haven't posted on the site yet (sorry! ^^' but I will eventually)
BUT I don't have the ones you've listed. Mine are a little more rare, actually.

I currently have :

- The "Giant Baloo" statue
- The TaleSpin piggy bank
- The panini book
- A board game (from the UK, different from the USA one which is not as rare)
- One Puzzle
- A "3D viewmaster"
- One little german book
- German stickies
- McDonald boxes
- The "Tiger" video game console
- Two USA books
- A few french magazines which include TS comics

Very cool, my collection consists more of the toys.

Playmates Don Karnage (2 loose and 3 brand new in the box)

The rest of the playmates figures (loose)

Tri-Wing Terror (loose but in new condition)

I have a feeling TaleSpin merchandise will really gain value in years to come, its become so hard to find even now.

Just a heads up, in my pointless searches on ebay I found that someone is selling a Don Karnage figure. It looks to be in great shape and while I would buy it I already have 5 haha.

Here is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Don-Karnage-TaleSpin-Playmates-1991-NEW-RARE-/260847369685?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cbbb6fdd5

I'm actually kind of shocked to see another one of these up, it took me years to find all of mine.

Oh nice (both of you)!

I myself love mercahndise threads, except for the fact I rarely buy anything shipping is a nightmare...

Though I did want to display something I found quite intresting, I don't believe any of you all listed:

A rare TaleSpin Compass and in great shape!

I think it's rare, yes, which somewhat justifies the price...but even I wouldn't go as far :P

To be honest I can see these popping up on Ebay every so often (I don't mean that they're not rare - all TaleSpin merchandise are, just that some are even more)

It will gain a HUGE value the day Disney decides to revive the series, one way or another...(what? is it not allowed to dream? :P I mean, there are so many 70's-80's series getting revived these days...)

That could very well be true, it is easy to miss things on ebay!!

As neat as it would be for Disney to fire up the engines of the sea duck once more I think it will just remain a dream. If they were to bring back TaleSpin I would want nothing less than a tv series because that is what I remmeber as a kid, I want to be able to watch it, not read it in a comic or whatever(just my personal preference). In a way I wouldn't mind them not bringing it back. I'm not a kid anymore and neither are the majority if not all of us on here and much of the love I have for TaleSpin is being able to watch it and remember what it was like being little again. Seeing what I loved as a kid and making me cherish it even more. For all of the things that are being revived from years past you don't really see Disney doing much of the same, mostly with tv shows. We love how TaleSpin was from where it left off, the older animation for example. It is approaching 20 years now since the last new epsiode and we can all bet if revived now it would be quite a bit different. Change can be a good thing but for a childhood memory like TaleSpin change is best avoided.
