Who is responsible for bringing must-see images? Rant is on the way.
I saw that people were making some pretty good graphics with official Balto characters. They took their time to make those and they definitely have some skill. Their stuff needs to be appreciated and promoted by must-see images.
But what is there instead? Some old stuff and demotivational poster. C'mon! Demotivational poster?! This is not even art and requires zero skill to make! Please reserve must-see sections for... uhhh... something good...

Since there are only global moderators, I think it is our role.
However, for me, I have not touched the must-see. So surely this must be another global mod...

However, I agree with you : we must encourage multiple talents that have not yet had the chance to see their creations being exhibited.

I agree with this completely...There are OTHER members out there who could qualify. There isn't need to go and add some poorly made image as a must-see... No offense to the owner, but I'm REALLY disappointed to know that a LINEART that was colored as Kodi was selected as a must-see. Way to go for promoting renders and lazyness... Because if I'm not mistaken, the must-see section was invented to be an example of what should be sent in. Linearts are NOT graphics, they're color pages...Not much effort goes into opening paint and using the bucket tool to fill in an areas with colors.

Since the new staff update, I've never gotten any message telling me to change it, so it's not under my permissions, or I would be doing so. It may be something in the system perhaps, I'm not sure.

But I agree, renders, colored linearts and motivational posters are hardly worthy enough to be on the must see list. I know I can add TO the list, but I've never seen a prompt to actually put them up on the site.

I entirely agree. I've actually been angry about this for a while. There are PLENTY of other image artists [as Mighty has pointed out] that are amazing at making images. I find it annoying that they always pick images from those who are popular or whatever. We have new mods now, though, so that should finally change... hopefully.

Maybe I'm reading too far into this but I find it funny that a mod picked an anti Niju/Aleu demotivational poster while shipping Niju/Aleu is a trend. Methinks someone wanted to be passive aggressive.

There are a lot of really talented graphic artists but it's mostly the same people over and over again getting featured. Granted, I realize it's because it's only those same people that do Balto graphics anymore and not renders, but we can branch out a bit.

And where is this alleged "poster"? And we have poster selections of the week now? I wasn't aware of this.

Who and what are these picks you're talking about, Sora? Link them if you could, please.

I agree that the Must-See choices should never be chosen quickly. Moderators should be taking time finding quality and less popular images/art/fanfics/other fanworks. For me, getting on the Must-See is an honor. Seeing someone get put up there over and over, or even worse with poor quality, is pretty aggrivating when others could be given a chance to have their works featured.

Hm. While I agree that this certainly should not be picked as a selection of the week (though I still don't see that it was), I don't otherwise see a problem with it.

Like you can see, it worked for some time, but what do we have now? Must-see image is something that was made 4 years ago! And another image in must-see is a recolor of a fan character... Seriously?! What is that supposed to be? :/

What the heck? Really? Why is that there? I hope that was just a mistake.

Well, considering there are a few trolls on as staff, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it isn't.

The render appears to be gone now. :/

Wow I'm a bit late in reply to this, but I couldn't agree more with you, Sakujo.
Sadly, it's like Flitzalys and Draco said. Personally I'd prefer if the mods got together and talked about it.
Or get suggestions from the members, but that could go badly... Just throwing those out there.
