I have official proof Kovu is Zira's son. I have a book called Disney princesses, love and friendship stories and was recently reading it when I came across the story of TLK 2 SP. This is what it said: 'Her plan was to overthrow Simba and make Kovu the new king.' I know most people already believe Zira is Kovu's mother but to those who don't, I'm afraid you're mistaken! And before you say that the book might of not been official, it is a Disney book made by Disney and purchased from a Disney store!

lionsoulkopa -- I think a lot of people accept the fact that Zira is Kovu's mother. But there are other people who do not. I believe she is and yet, sometimes, I really don't. To each their own.

Poll options need to be more diverse. i believe Chumvi is Kovu's dad and of COURSE Zira is Kovu's mom.

Okay first off... Simba didn't have a little brother. Next off, to say Scar wasn't the father would be hard to believe simply because Kovu looks identical to Scar. In his own way. Zira as the mother, I'm not entirely sure though.

Thanks for your comments! I didn't say Simba did have a little brother, it's just a fan theory that some people have and he would be around the right time.

Scar was originally intended to be Kovu's father, but Disney ruled against it because it would make Kovu and Kiara second cousins (newsflash Disney, they're lions! Yes, with human minds and human emotions. So what?!). To avoid incest they changed that idea. And, yes, Scar died and so did Zira. What does that have to do with Scar being Kovu's father? Scar and Zira were the villians. All villians have to go for the good guys to triumph.

That quote does not actually say that she is his mother at all.

^ Yes. That quote alone doesn't mean at all that she was his mom. But then I've never heard it argued that she WASN'T. So to me this seems rather pointless..

Seriously can you explain me how this quote brings something new and why this proves that Zira iz Kovu's mother?

Gosh, thats so embarassing, I'm sorry, I wrote it wrong! It says this: "Her plan was to overthrow Simba and make her son the new king." Sorry! And lots of people say that she isn't his mum, just because you've never heard people say that doesn't mean no one has, it just means you haven't heard of it.

Okay, whatever. It was proved(at lest I think so) that Zira is mother of all three(Nuka, Vitani and Kovu), but it was never proved that Scar is their father.
