Well... it's also illogical for wolves to be painted in the colors of the rainbow, but that's on the sites too. It's also illogical for them to have bangs or to be a thousand different breeds all at once. To sum it up, the site allows any and all characters on board. So... I'm not sure what point you're getting at. Wolves are furry anyways. What's the big deal if someone added a goatee or a mustache? I'd say it's similar to adding bangs [something a lot of people including me do].

This topic seems really absurd. A wolf who has a goatee or orther thing does not change anything : a fan character is just made ??to be realistic or unrealistic. That's all.
I'm waiting to see if other people have reasoned replies to post before lock.

What Moki said. Also, adding a little goatee like that could be considered characterization. There's more to a character design than markings and color, you know. Characters can also have individual builds/shapes/sizes, eye shapes, fur types, etc. Many animal characters are often humanized in such ways to make them more, for lack of better term, unique, and also to make the character more relatable to the people that will view it.
For example, take Balto as compared to Steele. Balto has a larger, rounded eyes with a smaller, thinner build with ragged fur and--what's that? Notable chin fur, like a goatee. Steele, on the other hand, is much larger with a stronger, more muscular build, thick, well-groomed fur, and small, think eyes. Just by looking at these characters, we can get an idea of their personalities and the way they live.
...in short, as I said at the beginning, the goatees and whatnot could be seen as physical characterization. :|
And again, as Moki said, wolves have fur all over their face anyways. So who cares?
