After Escape, What Happens Next?

Plot

The pound is the last place any dog wants to end up, but a group of dogs seem to have found luck in a no-kill shelter. That is until they are full and still have dogs coming in. A select few dogs who are still young and healthy and have the most chance of being adopted are shipped off to another kennel that does have a back killing room. But on the way, on a back highway, the large truck blows a tire and crashes into the side of the road. The driver does not live, but all the dogs in the back survive.

Now stranded in a small patch of forest, the dogs much learn to work together to survive their treak back to town. But first they must decide if they are going to go back to the town they came from or continue to the town they were destined to go to. Which will they choose? How will they get there? You decide.

Setting

A back road connecting to highways in the middle of a small forest.

Personality: Nikki is very clever and quick on her feet. Although she sometimes rushed into things without thinking, if she gets into trouble she can figure a way out of it. Nikki is also very opinoinated and likes to always be right. When proven wrong, she sulks and pouts until she finally gets over it. She gets along with others well most of the time and can be a sweet-heart when she wants to be.
History: Nikki was adopted as a puppy to a teenage boy, and he loved her dearly. Everything changed when he graduated highschool and had to go to college. His parents worked all day and didn't have the time to take care of Nikki properly. Regretably, they did have to give Nikki up to the pound.

Personality: Lacey is very full of herself and fights for her own gain alone. When she does get into trouble, she expects the others to help her, though she doesn't return the favor. She would rather run away than fight and lets the others led, not taking part in the decision making but complaining about it all the time. When she gets upset, she also gets flustered and spits back poor comebacks. This usually ends up in her stalking off.
History: Lacey was born and bred for the show dog world, and won many local competitions. She was headed for grand things when she lost a showing event for being slightly overweight. This destroyed her career and caused her to find a kennel in the pound.

Personality: Xavier goes with the flow and is very relaxed and calm. He mostly shrugs at things and doesn't seem to care about much at all. He laughs at series things and always tries to lighten the mood. He can be very cute and funny, but sometimes his humor is misplaced. He doesn't involve himself with arguements and is mostly quiet in emotional situation. When someone insults him, he does take it to heart. It is easy to know he's upset because it will be the only time he doens't have a smile on his face.
History: Xavier traveled from home to home, passed on between family members and friends. Although he was a good pet, something always went wrong. They would move or become allergic or have nasty nieghbors that hated dogs. Eventually, he ran away to the streets and got himself stuck in the pound a few days late.

Personality: Sake is a mocking sort of dog. He is smart and knows how to survive. He is a loveable companion, always trying to think on the brighter note of things. He is quick on his feet, and can be sarcastic. He loves to tease, but when something looks like it would turn into a fight he'll simply say he was joking.
History: Sake was a christmas preasent to a little boy along with his brother, Sushi. The first year was nice, they were loved. But the next crhistmas the little boy received a video game and the two were lost in his past. So instead of being dumped at a shelter, the boy's parents left the 1 1/2 year old puppies in a box on the street. The dogs grew up to be okay, until they were captured by the pound.

Personality: Sushi is a go with the flow relaxed calm type of guy. He shrugs off insults to him, but takes insults to his brother, or family seriously. When sad he will always be quiet, wont smile, and will mope around. When happy he is still kind of quiet, and mainly just is one to lighten a mad or serious mood. He is deffinently a follower, and stays out of arguments, normally simply agreeing to whatever Sake says. If he thinks something is truly wrong he will speak up, but other wise is a quiet happy guy.

History: After her previous owner died, no one in the family was willing to ake care of her, so she was sent off to the shelter.

Personality:Very energetic, and friendly, and most of the time happy-go-lucky, until she opens her eyes to the trouble. Then she can be quite serious, give her opinion, but still she would rather do what someone else says than be the leader. She's very sensitive to other dog's problems, and could spend a whole day with a dog that was feeling upset. She's kinda cautious around strangers, and only those who she thinks are trustworthy can become her friends.
History: She has been living a good life with her family from her birth, but suddenly one of the children of the family got very sick. After a months of worrying and going to doctors, the family decided that the child had to get an operation, and not an ordinary one: an operation he needed could only have been got abroad. The family couldn't take the dog with them, so they left Dinah in the shelter.

Personality: Sweet, trusting and loving, almost to the point where it becomes annoying. He's quick to argue about somethings, and is also very stubborn.
History: Was born in someone's backyard, because they wanted a couple puppies to raise. He was given to their friend's family, and he escaped their yard quite often, and obviously, one of those times he unlucky and was caught by the pound.

History: She was born to a breeder, who sold her to some people looking for a cute, small dog. When they found out she carried the decker gene, they tried to put up with it, as they has become attatched to her. Soon, they gave her to the pound for adoption because they were going to have a baby, and thought she would be too agressive towards it.

Personality: Hyper, spunky, creative, goofy, but he's serious when he needs to be. He dosen't like to be relied on and his kinda absent minded so he spaces out alot. He can always make someone laugh even in the worst situation, and is an extremely loyal friend.

History: He was born to an extremely rich family who had other Ibizan hounds, but these dogs where stuck up snobs so the family was quiet bewildered when this young dog grew up to be a hyper chewing machine. Their son however had a bond with Jake that the boy didn't have with the other dogs. Much to the boy's dismay he was separated from his pet when his family sent young Jake to the pound.

Personality: Very prissy, and she wants everything done for her and can be annoying. But she's sweet and kind when she's happy. When she's mad it gets scary because she startes yapping and starts complaining. Also when she wants something she gives these huge puppy eyes until she gets what she wants.
History: Pumpkin used to live in a huge house with her human Annie who was very rich. Annie is a little overwait and she loves pomerainan's. She has ten counting Pumpkin. But Pumpkin was her favorite. She took her everywhere even in places that didn't allow dogs so she just hid Pumpkin in her purse. Annie loved dressing her dogs up and showing them to everyone she sees. Pumpkin loves attention. One day Annie was going to move to a even bigger home. It was earily in the morning when they moved. Annie thought she had all the dogs but she forgot Pumpkin who was sleeping under bed and didn't wake until Annie locked the door. Pumpkin ran as fast as her little pups could take her and jump out the dogy door in the back yard. She remebered it was fenced in but then she saw a crack in the gate and sqeezed through it. She saw the car zoom down the road and she ran after it. She ran and ran until she couldn't anymore. Soon Pumpkin got scared because everything was so big and she didn't know were she was. Then the dogcatcher came and took her.
Other: She has a really pretty collor on but you can't really see it because of her fur. And Annie used to call her Pumpkin Pie!

Personality:He is very headstong and speaks for himself. He is loyal and treats others they way they deserve to be treated. He is more of a leader. Even though he is still young he knows more than others think he does. He is very helpful towards others and speaks up for others. He is a friend to all. He makes even the worst situations seem like they always have a little hope.
History: Was adopted with his younger litter mate, his sister Ezra, by an elderly man who died a little over a year after adopting them. The dogs escaped the house after the mans death and roamed the town for a couple months til the local shelter captured the dogs. He knew he and his sister would be fine and hopefully adopted out soon. Then he learned about being transfered, then the truck crashed.

Ooc:// Sorry I haven't started this rp yet! I had some unsuspected baby-sitting and work always gets in the way of things I want to do. Anyways, everyone who has joined is accepted. From this point forward, I won't accept any more bios expect by those who are already accepted. But no more kennel dogs by anyone.

Now, lets get this thing started!

Bic:// The impact of the crash caused all the doggie taxis loaded into the back to smash together and break apart. "Whoa!" Nikki yelled out in surprise as she was knocked onto her back from the force of her carrier slamming against another carrier. A stinging pain throbbed through her back thigh, and Nikki had the awful thought that she had scratched herself against a loose bolt.

Lacey yelped loudly as her crate justled against the others, causing her to loose her balence. She gasped as she fell to the floor, seeming merely annoyed at her lack of coordination.

Xavier on the other hand stayed very quiet throughout the loud collision, laying on the floor of his crate and not moving until everything fell silent in the aftermath of the crash. The noise from earlier still rang in his ears as he crawled through a space where his carrier had snapped in half. He struggled to pull his body through, but he soon managed to stand on top of his carrier and look around at the others. "I guess this means we've arrived," he panted out, smiling crookedly.

Nikki rolled her eyes at Xavier's comment, ignoring it as she simply leapt out of the back of her carrier, bouncing off a neighboring carrier which contained Pumkin. Using leverage and momentum, Nikki made it to the top of her crate as well. "Is everyone all right?!" she called out, the darkness clearing from a large crack in the truck's wall. She could just make out the shapes of the other dogs in the dim light.

"I am not alright!" Lacey exclaimed form her own crate, ears plastered to her head and still whimpering slightly. "How am I supposed to get out of this thing?!" she cried out, even though her door had been loosened enough that all it needed was a nudge to open it. But Lacey was shaking from fear and wasn't paying attention to the obvious. She continued whimpering, growing louder as no one came to her rescue right away.

Pumpkin had been crying the whole time in the truck because she knew she'd knew she’d never see her owner Annie ever again. But when the truck crash, Pumpkin was flipped over onto her back, hitting her head making it throb really badly. She laid there dazed for a moment letting the pain go away. Pumpkin scrambled up onto her tiny legs and yipped, "Whoever was driving this thing has some serious issues,"
Pumpkin noticed her cage had tipped over and the cage door, which was open, was above her. Pumpkin let out a little snort and was about to jump when a dog pushed up against her cage making her fall over. Pumpkin puffed up her fur in anger and she crouched down again to jump and almost got her paws touching the cage door but she fell back down. She did a few more effortless jumps and then started freaking out. "Someone help me! Get me out of here! The cage is too big for me to jump out!" She whinnied. "Someone help!" She repeated.

Tybee yelped as they were thrown around in the truck. "I'm alright..." he answered to Nikki's question. He glanced around, seeing the other two that had gotten out of their cages. Standing up, he found a way out of his crate, and tried to get to Lacey. "I'll help ya," he offered, opening the door of the cage.
Riley frowned as the cage was thrown around. "Can't the stupid human even drive this car?! It's bad enough he's taking us somewhere, but he can't even do it right!" secretely, she was scared by the situation, but she wasn't going to let a bunch of strangers know about it. She climbed on top of the remains of her kennel. "Well... when everyone gets out... what do we do?"
