Hi,
It has occured to me and my friend that on TLK Source that mods are accepting fanart and images that are supposed to be declined for various reasons.
Her and I (aka my friend and I) think that this is because mods are friendly with these members, and let them get away with things others would not.
Let's clarify something here-

I'm not jealous about these members
I'm not saying this about really good art, or because my art is...well... let's not use any bad words but let's just say it's not exactly Picasso... (aka its TERRIBLE XD)
So, yeah...
On other websites (more so a free webs site in which most members there have left here for the reason I'm attemping to explain)

Here's a quote from one of the members whom I have permission of to post this here. However, the site owner has requested permission that I don't put the link.

I submitted a render that, to me, was ok. Then I submitted a sketch of a real lion (as I'd seen on other member's galleries) but with Lion King markings (tuft, ear markings...etc). Both where declined. I was kinda ****** off because the moderater said "maybe you should check out ******'s gallery to see how its done, and really i found that offensive. So, my art isnt good enough so I should get lessons from someone else? thanks.
The member's name has been starred out for privacy reasons.

She also included one picture she submitted before leaving, comparing it with another that had been accepted, according to her the person left TLK Source before she did. Unfortunally, I can't show them because it would give away the URL :/

P.S. I asked this on the regular website and it got deleted... not very good for the case, is it?

Anyway, so what do you think? And please... don't leave a comment being like "what?" cos then it closes and I'm forced to bump threads because thats the only answer I got.

Shivu, if you're that concerned, try posting those concerns up on the main site, either has a question or an article. Frankly, I too, am concerned about the new 'mods'. I miss the way it was before. When everything was divided into sections. And I was one of your section mods for a short time.

I personally haven't had this happen to me before, and I hope it never does. It's mean to discriminate against someones work than turn around and let some one else's art work that was 'better' get in. I feel sorry for the person who said the quote, it shouldn't have happened. I know there's a plenthora of good and bad artists/renderer's on AS, but they don't need to be treated like this..

I don't know if favorites is what is happening here. It could be that they're still new and haven't mastered being a mod yet. If this is favoritism, then that is a problem that needs to be addressed immediately by Steet.

A member's work shouldn't be put down just because their art isn't amazing. Though, if it looks horrible, then yes, it should be deactivated. Otherwise, that isn't right or fair for a mod to deactivate a creation that should have been accepted.

That mod shouldn't have told you to look at another gallery, as that wasn't right. They also failed to moderate correctly. Instead of telling you to look at that person's gallery (which in my opinion is an invention to copy someone) is NOT helpful at all; that won't help anyone improve. Whoever told you that should have linked you a tutorial found here on the forums, and they should have explained what needed fixing. I suggest watching to see if this happens with other members as well. If so, report that to Steet ASAP.

And Shivu, sorry to hear about that. It's not right if a mod's showing favoritism. I'd like to say since there's a new staff and all, that this should go away.

Do you know if it was the same mod though? If not it might've been different mods that liked and didn't like certain images that were and were not posted [if that made sense].

If your talking about the old staff, why bring it up? There is a new staff now. I'm sorry, but I'm a bit confused. Otherwise I'm not seeing the point in complaining about something that isn't there anymore.
