Super Smash Brothers: Rise of the Dark Emperor

It’s been two years since the Subspace Invasion and its leader Tabuu were defeated and the World of Trophies has flourished. Since the arrival of Snake and Sonic, other worlds have become represented in this realm, raising the numbers of Brawlers. However, a dark shadow hangs on the horizon.

A new evil arrives in the form of the evil Dark Emperor, a mysterious figure that has rallied all the villains together to finally rule. Combining their power, they shatter the World of Trophies apart, intending to isolate and overwhelm their foes. However, the Brawlers are far from defeated, banding together, they must find a way to reunite their shattered universe and overthrow the Dark Emperor.

Rules:

Normal Rules Apply
Even if they began in a movie but have a video game, they can be used, so long as they’re not too powerful or a character incapable of fighting. In other words, Spiderman is allowed but Homer Simpson isn’t because he wouldn‘t be playable and a character that‘s insanely powerful and can destroy worlds isn‘t ether, got it?
If you are ‘killed’, your character is turned into a Trophy, and any surrounding character can revive them, but villains can try to block you from reaching it. Not too hard on this rule, unless story purposes require taking a certain character out of play for a period of time.
There are four pieces of the shattered world, you have say into where your character’s piece of the world fits on it, so long as its not too crowded.
I decide the winners between player characters, for fairness. I also control bosses other than player characters.
Final Smashes are reserved for player on player fights, bosses, and situations where they’re overwhelmed with opponents. For the latter two, one per fight.
Subplots are welcomed and encouraged.
If a character is normally silent, its up to you if you want to keep them that way or not.
Only new characters need bios, returning characters do not.
Everyone must take one required character before putting up a non-required character, if none are remaining, disregard this rule.

Special Moves:
Extreme Slash: Switches to Sword Form if not already in it, then performs a series of energized slashes, blade detaches but only tip hurts.
Solid Hit: Switches to Rod Form if not already there, throws spear, then follows its path. IF it hits an enemy, he does a flying side kick into them.
Dynamic Chop: Switches to Ax form if not already there. Launches upwards, then comes back down with a powerful slash.
Wild Shot: Switches to Gun Form if not in it. Charge beam style attack, charges energy then fires.
Final Smash:
Climax Form: Sword Form Only. Switches to Climax Form for a short period of time and gains a huge power boost in addition to several powerful special moves, Boisterous Kick: A flying energized kick, Boisterous Shout: chest opens to fire an onslaught of missiles, Boisterous Punch: A flying energized punch, and Extreme Slash, Climax version: Same as regular Extreme Slash only powered up.
Wing Form: Any other form. Transforms to Wing Form and delivers the Royal Smash, throwing his energized boomerang around the enemy to hit them in the back as he charges forwards and slashes across their chest with the hand ax.
Assist Trophies: Sieg: Summons Sieg to blast the opponent with explosive feathers.

Earth Pound: Leaps into the air then comes back down with a powerful slam.

Electric Breath: A short range blast of electricity from his mouth.
Final Smash:
Convexity Breath: Flies over the battlefield breathing down powerful purple flames on the enemy.
Assist Trophies: None

Shadow Fire: Breaths a torrent of shadowy flames at the opponent.
Siren Scream: Let’s out red screech that stuns enemies it hits.
Scorpion Strike: Covers her tail in poison and spins around, causing poisons and damages the victim for a period of time after hitting.
Shadow Strike: Turns into a shadowy form to move a short time and then emerge to attack.
Final Smash:
Cynder Adult: Transforms into her adult form a short period of time to give her a power boost, making all her attacks much harder and her more difficult to defeat. She will appear in this form as a boss as well.

Alright, mind if I use the same starting post as before? It's pretty much the way I start this...

It was a normal day in the World of Trophies, the massive World having grown bigger as more and more worlds were represented here. Two of its new residents, Spyro and Cynder, flew through the sky, heading for the stadium.

"Hurry up Cynder! We're going to be late!" said Spyro, Cynder was up for a match today, and he didn't want her to miss it.

Cynder dashed forwards, passing by her boyfriend. "Now you hurry up!" called back the black dragoness, having changed somewhat, without the Dark Master Malefor standing over her head and threatening her and Spyro's lives.

Spyro smiled, glad to see Cynder happier, who could blaim her after what she'd been through for being relieved it was all over. Suddenly, Spyro's face turned to dread. "Cynder! Watch out!"

Cynder turned to run into a massive black armored figure, a red cape billowing behind him, but shadows covering him which made him hard to see. Cynder growled, getting into a battle position, Spyro landing behind her to back her up. "Who are you?!" snarled Cynder.

The being chuckled. "Someone much stronger than you."

Cynder snarled. "We'll see about that!" she yelled, jumpping at him.

The warrior laughed and held out his hand, lightning crackling around it. A blast of blue lightning erupted out of his hand and struck Cynder, causing her to cry out in agony. A small explosion occured, Cynder's trophy bouncing to the ground.

Spyro snarled. "You're going to pay for that!" he yelled, furious. A rainbow colored aura surrounded him and he unleashed an onslaught of purple fire on the armored tyrant, engulfing him in a large explosion. When he'd finished, he looked over the flaming area, confident that had done it. He turned to revive Cynder but suddenly, laughter came from the flames. Spyro turned in shock to see the tyrant march unharmed from the flames.

The Emperor laughed maniacly, dusting off his armor. "Is that all you got?" he asked. Spyro snarled and leapt at him, intending to get physical. The Emperor's visor lit up red and a massive beam of red energy shot out, completely engulfing Spyro and sending him flying back. When the beam faded, Spyro's trophy skidded across the ground, smoke coming off it from the beam as it stopped. "No challenge." the Emperor stated, cracking his neck. He ignored Spyro's trophy and picked up Cynder's. "Hello, my new general." he said, laughing evilly and vanishing into a cloud of red smoke, leaving the defeated Spyro's trophy laying as rain began to fall.

The stadium was packed to the hilt for the day's events. Samus set in the stands, waiting for the fights to start, eager to see what newcomers today brought. She looked over to see that Spyro and Cynder still hadn't arrived...they never missed the fights, Cynder more than Spyro. The announcer's voice came up over the intercom, attracting the bounty hunter's attention to the ring.

"Welcome everyone! Todays first match is about to begin! From the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario! And his opponent, from Hyrule, Link!"

Midna scanned the area, late to the main event, as usual. From afar, she witnessed the assault this new enemy had wasted on the dragons. Link's gonna kill me for being late, again, she thought wistfully. Though she thought of Link as her best friend since the Twilight drama in Hyrule, her old habits of lack of assertive loyalty proved hard to break. Sigh... well it can't be helped. She floats lazily over to where Spyro's trophy lay askew in the dust, and rests her index finger on the pedistle. Spyro briefly glows orange before reviving to his normal self.

"Well that went well, Hero!" she chided. "Come on; we're already late," she called, drifting ahead in indifference.

Link entered the arena, briefly swinging his sword in show. He shifted his feet into a ready position and curled his toes within his boots. Let's get this overwith... he thought as he gazed expressionlessly at the mustached plummer at the other end.

]In the stands, Zelda found herself seated next to Peach; the seat Midna would have occupied was taken over by the blonde princess from the Mushroom Kingdom. Well this is ironic... she thought. I could bet three silver rupees that I sat in this very exact spot next to that person two years ago. This doesn't bode well.

She glanced briefly at the sky; if Midna were to appear at all, she would most likely fly over the stadium. Two other empty seats within the stadium's walls caught her eye; the ones reserved for Cynder and Spyro. Zelda turned around in her seat and faced her neighbor behind her, Samus.

"What in the name of Hyrule could be taking those two so long? Midna's no surprise; she's always late. But I'm beginning to worry even for her. Even she wouldn't want to miss this event!"

Spyro tried to stand up but groaned and fell back down, his wings drooping. "What happened?" he asked, in unusual pain. He'd got taken out before, all the Smashers probably had at one time or another. But reviving never really hurt, it was fine...but he was still hurt from his defeat.

Mario leapt into the ring and waved. "Letsa go!" he called, getting ready to fight.

Samus looked over at Zelda. "Something just isn't right," the bounty hunter stated. "I know Cynder, she's a friend of mine," she explained. "She wouldn't miss this, it's just not her. She has a fight later, that's something she defiantly wouldn't miss..." she said, a bit of worry in her voice. "I'm worried about her and Spyro...something just isn't right..."

"Cynder's been kidnapped," the imp stated bluntly. "I'm sorry Spyro, truly, but if we don't get moving that creep will put his new to- errr, general to use." A metallic shine caught her eye; apparently Lord Shiny Pants was sloppy in his attack. She quickly pocketed the onyx scale before drifting just ahead of the purple dragon on the path. We might be able to use this... But what if he left it there on purpose? Heh, someone at the stadium should be able to tell.

She cast a brief glance behind her. "Come on! We've got to get you to the medics, and I don't know first aid!"

"Agreed," Zelda sighed. "Whatever is delaying the dragons must be no laughing matter. From what I've seen of her performances, she'd torch anything physical that tries to hinder her."

Peach suddenly grabbed her neighbor's gloved hand with her own. "Oh, oh! Isn't it simply devine? Our men are fighting for us!" she squealed.

Zelda felt a nerve throb near her temples. "Firstly, Link is my champion , not my suitor!" the brunette snapped. "Secondly, there are more dire things at stake than 'manly pride!'"

"But what could be more important than my Mario?" she inquired innocently.

At the announcer's signal, Link swiftly dashed ahead, building momentum for an aimed slash at the plummer's torso.

"Kidnapped?" asked Spyro, eyes widening in terror. "W-we have to find her!" he exlciamed, then heard general. General? "General?!" he asked once more, following her. "That must mean he wants to turn her back into Dark Cynder! We'll be in huge trouble if that happens! Dark Cynder's a monster! Cynder's been trying for years to distence herself from being that!"

Mario flipped back, dodging the slash and retaliting with an attempted overhead jumping punch.

Samus looked to Peach. "The fact that two of our friends who have never missed a tournament aren't here, one of which has a match later today," she explained. "It's not like Spyro and Cynder to be missing..." he said, then looked to Zelda. "Spyro's about the same. They've earned their place in this world like the rest of us...something is defiantly wrong...what should we do?"

Bic:
Link's previous attack left him virtually unguarded; he attempted to dodge, but Mario's attack was faster. The plummer's punch struck him squarely on his jaw, temporarily downing him. The Hylian aimed a low kick towards his rival's shins while using the momentum to rise to his feet and perform a back flip for good measure.

A sour expression crossed the Toadstool Princess's face; of course she cared about what happened to those silly ol' dragons! But that was no reason to spoil the match, was it? Just as quickly, however, her mood changed again to that of glee as her hero temporarily gained the upper hand.

Zelda gnawed on the back of her lower lip in worry. "If they don't appear by the end of the match, we search for them," she finally replied. But despite herself, her gaze continually shifted towards the horizon for a chanced glimpse of purple, black, or imp.

I know the feeling... Midna thought wryly to herself. She drifted back towards the dragon, ready to give him a push if neccisary, or even carry him with her enchanted hair, but she assumed that he probably wouldn't appreciate the latter. "Come on hero! Worry about that later!" she grunted through clenched teeth, then winced at the sound of it. "...do you think you can make it to the stadium?" she added in a gentler tone.

Mario was knocked to the ground, but he managed to roll through to his feet. He then started to spin around, arms out in an attempt to catch Link in his Mario Tornado.

Samus nodded. "Agreed..." she said, also looking out at the distence, though able to see better thanks to her special visor. "I can't see anything...I'd be more worried if we weren't immortal here," she replied. "But still, someone turns them into a trophey, they could take them and keep them somewhere. If I'm not mistaken, both of you princess had that happen to you in the Subspace war...and nearly all of us after Tabuu attacked."

Spyro panted, but sighed, looking at Midna. "You're right...in this condition, I'm even less of a match for him than I was before..." he muttered, following her with a noticable limp. His wings were too sore to fly. "I can't fly, my wings hurt too much..." he muttered, following. "How did that guy do this to me? I thought turning into a trophey healed us..."

Link fortunately was out of range of the full impact, but the excess force against his shield caused him to slide precariously close to the edge of the arena; he struggled to maintain his balance as he performed a midair Spin Attack... unfortunately landing ontop of a floating platform directly beneath the mushroom plummer.

Zelda's regal demeanor deminished slightly as she shrank inwardly in rememberance. "...Don't remind me. Ulgth! It's bad enough with always being judged as another 'damsel in distress' and 'just a pretty face'," she groaned, partially hiding her face delicately behind her gloved slender hands before frowning scornfully at her gown.

"Let's hope that that isn't the case, though I have a feeling that you may be right."

Midna shook her head slowly. "That... I cannot explain. All I can tell you that those certainly weren't Smash moves of any sort, or, at least not a style I'm not familiar with. He almost seemed robotic, you know, like some some sort of magically inhanced cyborg." She then glanced in "concealed worriment" at Spyro. Will you be alright? I could, you know, carry you with my hair, if it wouldn't weird you out too much."

Mario glowed with a rainbow colored aura, siezing the oppertunity to throw his arms forwards and fire a swirling blast of fire right at Link.

"Agreed," said Samus. "I can fight without my suit, sure, but I didn't like spending all that time stuck in my Zero Suit...I sure hope nothing will happen..."

Spyro nodded. "That'd help...sooner we get help, the sooner we can do something about this," he stated, staggering again, panting. "I just hope that wasn't that Tabuu guy everyone seemed so worried about.." he muttered, giving a fearful look. "It didn't look like how they described him, but you never know...":

Link's teeth gritted in irritation; no matter how fast he willed his legs to move, he simply couldn't move fast enough. Another blast struck him, this time between the shoulder blades with enough force to not only knock him off his feet, but send him hurtling through midair. More spherical blazes continued to propel him further from the platform; already the arena was a dizzying distance bellow him, and like most, he retained a healthy fear of heights and anything else a normal mortal couldn't survive.

He didn't need to hear his voice to know he was screaming.

In a streak of green and gold, a rigid figure tumbled to the earth, creating a small crater into the turf followed by a resulting ring of dust.

Link lost... Zelda thought wistfully as she briefly glanced at the scene bellow.

"He won? HE WON HE WON HE WON!!!" Peach crowed shrilly, jumping to her feet while waving her arms wildly ...and spilled her small candied almonds all over the lower row.

Midna gave a curt nod; technically she was a newcomer too, but something about Lord Metal Guy didn't feel right. From descriptions badgered out of the other Smashers, Tabuu seemed otherworldly... and also tabu. Ha! 'Tabuu', 'tabu'?How original! But one glance at Spyro reminded her that this was no joke. Her hair quickly manifested into a large, grotesque hand which seized the amethyst dragon without further warning and off she went, skimming through the lowland winds at a speed she had known only once before.

Note to self, she thought glumly. Creating a portal over the stadium would make life SO much easier!

OOC: so yeah... sorry again for not posting sooner

Mario gave a cheer, jumpping up in his normal victory pose. He then walked over to the trophey and hit the bottom, reviving link and helpping him up as the crowd cheered.

"Impressive match," said Samus, seeing Mario score the hit with his Final Smash and finish the match. "Both did well, Mario just got the luck of the draw..." she said, then cast her gaze once more to the outside of the arena. At first she saw nothing, but then looked and saw a black shape moving in, a hint of purple visable as well. She pressed the side of her visor, scanning further, then gasped. "It's Spyro! I think Midna too!" she told Zelda. "Something's not right, Spyro looks hurt!" she stated, without a second thought getting out of her seat and running towards the side of the arena.

Spyro nustled himself into her hand and let himself relax a bit, trying to rest his sore body. "...Cynder...why would he take her though? I know me and her have darkness in us, but in this world Cynder can control her Dark Form with a Final Smash."

The Emperor slammed Cynder's trophey down on a table, some henchmen chaining it down before he hit the base and revived her.

Cynder groaned, like Spyro feeling weak and hurt. "What happened?" she asked, shaking her head before lookng up at the Emperor and snarling. "You! Where I am?! Where's Spyro?"

"You're in my base of course," said the Emperor. "I'm the Dark Emperor, and as for Spyro...probably still laying as a trophey, that's how I left him," he explaind, getting a gasp of suprise out of her. "Now then, as for why I brought you here, it's simple. You're my new general."

"General?" asked Cynder, snarling. "I'd never work for you!"

"Willingly, probably not...but I have ways to make you," said the Emperor, putting his hand on her head and black energy flowed into her.

Cynder gasped, her mind suddenly clouding with darkness. "No...please! Not that! Don't turn me into her!" she yelled in panic, but her eyes soon lit up red and she began to change.
