Okay maybe someone already did do this topic maybe they didn't but "Balto vs.Tramp". What do there two dog and wolf-dog have in common? Well, I guess Nothing much at all!: *Tramp is an outcast, (like Balto), but is loved but all the dog in town *Balto is an outcast but hated by everyone in town
*Tramp is a Jumper;(goes from one girl to the next) *Balto is faithful to his all time lover , Jenna
I could do more but I'm tired of typing and you get the point, but did you EVER notice this: Balto and Tramp look very alike! Don't believe me Look Here!: The only difference i can make out is the ears and tail! Everything else is THE SAME! The Nose, Jaw line, fur color line, everything else!Since LADY AND THE TRAMP was made in 1955 it's only in my best guess that Balto's texture is a copy of tramps, just changed up a bit, since Balto was made in 1995 exactly 40 years later. Look at the same structure: And Tramps Structure: Convince they are almost the same? I shouldn't assume so, so Do you think Balto would be just a "cheap" copy of Tramp, just changed ears and tail? And even though he might be a copy. Who's is still COOLER to you? You've got a POLL to answer that! Have Fun. I FORGOT TO PUT UP THE POSTS ANSWERS BUT NOW THEY'RE UP.

I read that too, Zuko. But I can't remember. It might have been an old article on Balto Source. Anyway, I love both characters. Both of them kind of walk on the wild side, and are sort of mysterious. I like characters like that.

Well, as I stated before it's very common that good movies get copied by newer ones. =/ I think even Disney looked back at Lady & The Tramp for Aristocats, because we could infer O'Malley was much like Tramp. He was a stray, he was an alley cat. They both apparently had a way with girls until they met their right one. O'Malley did say he had a ton of what I like to call 'pick up lines' when he met Duchess, like "Your eyes are like sapphires." He was just flirting the first time he saw them, but he really did think so at the rooftop scene. Also, he luckily had a change of heart because since Duchess had kittens, he was going to turn down his "magic carpet" Sounds like something 'The Tramp' would do. I even saw the most adorable pin somewhere where Duchess and O'Malley were sharing a strand of spaghetti, I don't wear pins but if I find that one I might get it just because it's cute ^^ Back on topic, I love both characters equally, as both movies rank in my top five favorite movies and Tramp is my favorite character from L&TT. So, no deciding here..

kali wrote: Well, I have to admit Balto is pretty cool, but I haven't seen the full first movie, full second, and I havent even seen the third movie, so I can't really judge him, since I have known about Tramp since my childhood. So, I think that Tramp pwns, and is better. I haven't seen all of the Second and Third of Balto, but this question came naturally to me when i first saw Balto, that was because before, i was kinda a Lady and the Tramp fan,(Not the second one), and it made me wounder. Though, through it all i Do agree with zuko about how why animators wouldn't want to make animation that would give them a hard time in working with the way Balto looks.
In all honestly, i though someone would have made this topic already.

Okay, I like him more than Tamp because he is a true hero that save lives more intellgent than he is, but if you talking about the movie he probrably had an I.Q. of a 100 because he can do stuff that we do... exclude using electronics.

Roi Doberwolf wrote: ^ JUST a Tramp? Have you seen the movies? Granted a rat's not as big as Steele, but there was also the risk of humans, and he dared to face both to save Jr. And in the second movie he took on the pound to save his son. You say that's not having 'guts'?
I'm not saying Tramp's better, or Balto's better. I like both equal. And the fact that they look so similar... well I don't really know or care. They're different enough in personality alone that slightly similar markings and colors don't bother me. I have seen the movies, the sequel was not the best! Tramp DID save that Babys life from the evil rat. You know i wounded how Ladys owners found out so quickly that Tramp was trying to kill the rat. Also, it's not like Tramp was asking to be an owned dog, he was happy runnin' free. As far as i could remember what happened with Lady and Tramp WAS OVER until the rat came attacking. Tramp would have wandered on and found some other poor girl to seduce. And then in the second one, for some reason, Tramp LOVES the home life.
