When you head to school next year (2011-2012 school year) Try your best on getting Balto's history around it tell your teachers about it tell your friends tell anyone in school even your princible about it. We would like to see Balto's history go up a little bit... My school it doing it still and i think its been that way for a long time so get started this year when you head back (If your not back yert or already in)

Erm, I'd rather not. I wouldn't advise it, either. It's probably the worst thing you could do, to be entirely honest. People think you're different or weird for liking Balto and knowing all the history. For liking the movie, too.
Trust me... In my experience, yes it's awesome to get the word of Balto around, but it's not a good idea. People will bully you like there's no tomorrow and they won't feel the least bit sorry for it. I was teased and bullied three years straight because of my like for Balto and the only reason they backed off the least bit from that subject was because they asked our sixth grade teacher about it in order to embarrass and tease me some more and she burned them by saying she did in fact know about it. She turned out to have watched the movie and known about the subject and everything.
And even then, they never really stopped. Moving to a new school now is my salvation, my escape from that. So... while your idea may be good intentioned, I'd suggest DO NOT spread Balto in school. Anywhere else, but NOT school.

Imagine wrote: I remember a few instances when the subject of Balto came up at both my grade school and high school. I'll just name the two I remember for now.
I was in fifth grade and we were making paper mache dogs/cats in art class. There was a kid in my class named Sean who did a husky. Another kid (I forget who) commented on his work. "It looks just like Balto!", then a third kid said. "NO! Balto's a wolf! duh!" and the two kids kept arguing while Sean is just sitting there. XD "Balto's a dog!" "No, he's a wolf!" "DOG" "WOLF!" I just stood there giggling in the background. I thought to myself. "He's both." (in the movies)
Another instance was in gym class at my high school, we were going to do a report and a poster on a famous woman athlete (because I go to an all girls school). Anyway, our teacher was showing us some posters from years past, and then she picked up a poster someone did on Susan Butcher (the first woman to participate in the Iditarod) and she began explaining the length of the race and where the race was. Then she also explained the meaning of the Iditarod and Balto. The whole class was like "Oh yeah, I've heard of Balto!" And we went into an entire discussion for about 5-10 minutes. I answered a lot of questions XD. The real Balto is clearly a domestic canine and in the movie he's a hybrid.

In third grade I did a report on him... and some of my friends kinda know who he is. People already tease me enough for loving animals as much as I do(more than I love my classmates xD(well most are jerks)). I've drawn him a couple imes, I think.
I may burn them real bad one day with me knowing the true story tho... I dunno how.
