I think an 'ignore list' - where when you place a member on it you cannot see their posts (especially in the ShoutBox where trolling is all too common now) - would just be fantastic. Since there are very few mods now to take care of these issues and ban the people, it'd help be able to ignore it and continue on. Because obviously whatever is being tried isn't working.

It could be a band-aid for the moment at the very least.

That's actually a great idea. To just, maybe, type the trolls username in and not see their posts? That would be amazing, and quite a life saver actually xD I think I've developed some chest pains over this whole troll issue xD

That would work except for when the trolls create brand-new accounts. Then they're pretty much deleted before an ignore option can do any good. Otherwise, an excellent idea.

There is one thing I think that should be changed. I just did a test to see if mods could be blocked, and I successfully blocked UK. o.o (No worries, I unblocked you ) Someone may have the nerve to abuse this feature to ignore the mods/admins.

If you can ignore mods and admins it's not the best idea.
This will be my mantra to unable posting by guests and give trolls permanent ban if they register. This works better.

It may not have been prudent to point that out. After all, not only could someone take advantage of it, but we've already heard that staffers have been banned before, and then had to be unbanned.

What is needed is a better system to keep the trolls OUT once they are out. Or a way of banning proxies, which is the real source of the problem. There are resources out there for that. Steet just has to take the time to research them and then implement them (and purchase them if that is what is required. You'd think protecting his site would make that a worthwhile purchase).
