OK , so i now know the answer to the big Disney question that fans seem to ask , ''is the classics going to get a sequel ? '' NO PEOPLE ! DISNEY IS DONE WITH SEQUELS , NOW THEY DON'T REALLY DO ANIMATION ! NOW THEY JUST HAVE MODERN MOVIE MAKING PROCESS! ALL DISNEY IS ABOUT NOW IS MONEY , NOT MAKING MOVIES FOR CHILDREN ! how many people liked the aristocats ? i just found out that in December of 2006 , they where going to make it go to the big screen. it did not.

I think I realized all of this a long time ago. It's sad, really. The classics are really good, the movies they put up now a days seem like a load of junk with too many puns and 'humor' for the little kids. And, did you really have to put practically all of your post in caps?

(Well some of the sequals..most of them are crap anyway)

I am GLAD they didn't make a sequal. It would have ruined the first movie for me.

I disagree with this entirely. In my opinion, Disney's really starting to get its act together. The Princess and the Frog and Tangled were both absolutely fantastic films.. and even though one was CGI, they both have wonderful 'Classic Disney' feels to them. Finally Disney have stopped wasting their time and money on sequels, and are back to making the classics that made them famous. I can't wait to see what else they have in store for us.

It's always been about money; but they were not 100% focused on that like they are nowadays.
Currently, there's just no way for them to take ANY little risk. The whole industry works like this currently, not just Disney.



Yes, feature animated films are doing a little better, but I can't say the same for their other divisions (TV animation, video games, live action movies, books...), and the future doesn't look great at all (no more traditioal animated film, only a CGI film about a video game character, and nothing else planned after that...)

no , i loved tangled and the princess and the frog , i just want to know the reason why Disney is not making animated sequels any more.

That's very true,The Aristocats is doing just fine,without a sequel.

There was going to be an aristocats 2, AND an animated series, but during production on both, they decided to cancel them. I don't know why exactly. There's an article about it on aristocats source. The same thing happened with Dumbo 2 also.

I didn't see Tangled, but I did see The Princess and the Frog. Although The Princess and the Frog had an old Disney feel to it, I think I was disappointed because I was expecting a lot. I think about my top 3 favorite Disney Movies. They are, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King. When I think about them, I think about how many songs I know from them! I don't know if it's because I am older now, (and that is why I didn't really find many of the songs in The Princess and the Frog catchy) but I think that's what I miss about Disney. Is those great songs... I know all the words to all the songs in Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King... I can barely remember any of the songs I saw in The Princess and the Frog. You are right, Disney is not the same anymore!
