I just generally ask for opinion about Disney getting completely new actor just to sing those two verses as Vitani.

I think that it's pretty stupid. She doesn't sing much, like I meditoned, just few verses(that is mostly not even singing... she just says it... duh...) and there is no need for someone just to do this small singing part for original Vitani's voice actior. Like Disney dudes have nothing better to waste money for...

Honestly, I don't see why the original actress couldn't have sang those two verses. I wouldn't really even call it singing for what Vitani did, it was more light lighthearted cheering. I agree that Disney practically wasted money to bring in an unneeded singing voice. I mean, for the person that got the honor for being a part of a Disney film, good for them, but it wasn't necessary.

For real? Does this account for both cub and adult Vitani?

That reminds me, does anybody think that cub and adult Vitani were voiced by the same person?

^ Um... nooo....? Cause they were voiced by two different people. Lacey Chabert as a cub and Jennifer Lien as adult.

Actually, if you watch the scene from "My Lullaby" you see that Vitani has three lines - "One day when you're big and strong...", "Kovu, what a guy!", and "Testify!". Obviously, "Kovu, what a guy!" and "Testify!" are cheered by Lacey Chabert, but her very first line, "One day when you're big and strong..." is sung by Crysta Macalush. Why? Most likely because Lacey Chabert wasn't capable of singing that particular note, or her vocals had been damaged for some particular reason.

This isn't unusual or unnecessary for movies to have a separate singing actor/actress for one line. For those who don't know, during the song "Be Prepared", Jeremy Irons had vocal problems and they hired Jim Cummings to sing the last 40 seconds of the song for him.

Also, some people might say that Chabert could have just sang a different note. No. Just no. Music doesn't work that way. Anyway, I hope I helped clear things up. ^^
