I have a small question... I noticed that in the first movie, Anne Marie is considered special because she's able to talk to animals. And that pretty much sets the plot for the whole movie.

However in ADGTH2, David is able to talk to animals too. Or, at least, Charlie and Itchy. And it seems he's able to talk to Sasha too. And they don't seem to make much of a deal about it. Does anyone know why this is?

If I remember right... Itink he didn't talk to Sasha.
And the him being able to talk to Charlie and Itchy might be because they are angels.

Sasha could talk to David because Charlie used his only miracle to able her to speak. Also agreeing with Trail, he could probably understand Charlie and Itchy because there both angels.

Nuuuu, it was cause of the collars. Remember when the collars wore off, Sasha and David couldn't see Charlie and Itchy anymore and thought they left them, even though they were actually right there in front of them.
I believe the collars also gave David the ability to hear them then cause he could see them as well.

Remember, the collars are what made Charlie and Itchy be actual live dogs. When they weren't wearing them they were ghosts, so it would be like they were not there at all, which is why David and Sasha couldn't hear Charlie & Itchy after the collars wore off even when they were right in front of them. The reason David could talk to them was because Charlie and Itchy were angles. So basically it was a combination of the collars and Charlie & Itchy being angles that allowed David to talk to Charlie & Itchy.

yeah i agree it was the collars that made them become real dogs again. and david could talk to them cause they were angels. he could hear sasha cause of charlie miracle.
