Plot~

In the Kanto region of the Pokemon World, very special trainers are given the privilege to obtain a 'starter' pokemon. However, not all beginners are this lucky. Most have to work to get their training careers started. And so, a group of determined trainers go out and search for their own pokemon to catch, after being denied the chance at getting a starter pokemon. With their very first pokemon, they begin to show the world they were wrong to disprove them.

They become great at training their own pokemon and even catching uncommon species. Other beginners start to envy them and even cheer them on! However, all this newly gained attention sparks the eyes of Team Rocket's leader. He sends forth bunches of teams to capture the kids, in an attempt to get their pokemon and use their skills to his advantage.

And when the group stumbles on some Legendary Pokemon, and actually succeed in catching their own Legendary, it makes it all the better for Team Rocket. Now that their Pokemon become stolen by this ruthless group, will they ever get them back? Or be lost in the process of determination for once?

Appearance: Eh, about 5'10", he has freckles all over his face and arms, and has dark brown, almost black hair. He usually wears dark clothes and always wears a bandanna tied tightly around his right arm.

Trav awoke in a hurry. He checked his watch and nearly toppled over onto the floor. 1PM? He had slept until 1PM? Geez! He was late. He sped through his room quickly, putting on some casual clothes: a pair of jeans, a grayish/blackish colored shirt, and some sneakers. Then he sped down the stairs.

He nearly tripped down the entire rest of the flight towards the middle, but that was alright, he guessed. His mother saw him in a this huge rush and stopped him just short of the door.

He sighed in defeat. "Mom, I have to go!"

She didn't budge. "Trav, what's the big hurry?"

Trav sighed again, this time in annoyance. "I was supposed to meet Devin and Charlie almost an hour ago." He tapped his foot as if to explain how late he was and how important it was he went now. He knew what she was going to say... and it would definitely hold him back. And then, the inevitable words... "Not before you have breakfast, you aren't."

He groaned in a maddened sound. "Can't I go one day without eating? And it's not even breakfast anymore! It's two hours into the afternoon!" He knew his own mother was stubborn, though. And she hardly took no for an answer. This time, however, she asked, "Why do you need to go so badly? What's the rush?"

Trav looked at the ground with slight guilt tainting his expression. "Well... we were going to go..." He trailed off. His mother waited, still in front of him and the door, patiently. He finally finished off, "Get our first pokemon."

For once, his mother seemed to approve. This was highly unexpected, but a huge bonus note. She stepped aside and allowed him the passage to go through. With his backpack around his shoulder, he turned back and asked hesitantly, "Seriously? You're letting me go...?" It was more confused than wanting to have the same actions or words repeated.

His mother nodded, but looked thoughtful. When she spoke again, she said, "Well, seeing as you failed to get a starter pokemon, I'd say you should go get your first sometime." She gave a half smile and turned back towards the house.

Trav whispered, "Thanks" before heading out the door to meet his two friends.

"This kid's always late, isn't he?" Charlie paced back and fourth in front of the small building they said they would meet by. "late late late," he groaned, ranting to himself. He stopped pacing and stated forward for a minute, shook his head, then started pacing again, returning his gaze to the ground. "I mean, ten minutes is okay, but an hour?" He continued pacing back and fourth.

Devin shrugged. "He probably slept in late again," she said. She was teeming with impatience on the inside, but she didn't see the point in showing it. It wouldn't speed things up any. She showed it only through fidgeting; with her necklace, with her hair, with her sleeves...anything to keep her mind somewhat occupied, basically.

She shifted position for the hundredth time, lacking anything else to do. And it was getting kind of warm out. Devin tied her hair back into a sloppy ponytail, leaning back as she shifted position again. "Let me know when Trav gets here, 'kay? I'm gonna take a nap." Her grey eyes drifted shut, and she allowed her mind to wonder.

Trav ran until his legs seemed to be burning under the pressure. The scenery changed a bit, he found himself almost close to tripping a few more times, and finally he came across his friends who were waiting.

He looked towards the area where he saw Charlie and Devin. Charlie seemed to be pacing and Devin was taking a nap. He laughed nervously, and the laugh soon became a real one.

When he finally got there, he looked slightly winded, but grinned in an embarrassing manner. He apologized as soon as he stepped within ten feet of their distance. "Guys, I'm so sorry I'm late! I overslept... my alarm clock didn't go off and well... yeah. I'm sorry." His face was full of pure red blush, except that it wasn't makeup. He was embarrassed at his own foolishness and right now was asking to be forgiven. Who wouldn't be embarrassed by that?

Though, they were his friends, and hopefully understood. They usually did. Though, this time, the situation was much more urgent. They were going to try and catch their very first pokemon! That's right! He remembered. "Anyways, should we wake Devin up and get to the nearest PokeMart?"

Charlie turned and looked over at Trav.
"Oh, hey. 'Bout time you got here!" he laughed. "And it's a'ite bro, we all do that sometimes."
He then looked over at Devin. He moved closer to her and poked her a few times. "Devin! Devin wake up! Trav is here..Wake up!" he practically yelled to her urgently. He began to show his excitement in his voice mid-sentence. He's usually very patient, but he seemed very impatient as he kept poking Devin.

"I'm awake, okay?!" Devin muttered, a hint of frustration edging her voice. "So you can stop poking me now." She sat up, stretching her muscles that were sore from laying in that position on a hard chair. She stood, excitement beginning to gleam in her eyes as she woke up. "Let's go!" she said, walking towards the PokeMart.
