At the end of the movie they read the plaque but they only say

Dedicated to the indomitable spirit of

the sled dogs

That relayed antitoxin 600 miles from

Nenana to the relief of striken nome...

In the winter of 1925

Endurance Fidelity Intelligent

Dose anyone think they should of said what the plaque really said

Dedicated to the indomitable spirit of

THE SLED DOGS

That relayed antitoxin sixhundred miles over rough ice

across treacherous waters through arctic blizzards from

Nenada to the relief of stricken nome in the

winter of 1925

I honestly don't think reading it word for word would have been necessary. Since it was at the end of the movie, we already know what the conditions were like, so rambling off how harsh the environment was, at that point, would have been a little redundant and boring, in my point of view. The way they ended by reading off that first selection, with the context it already had, felt more powerful.

I agree with Aniu, everyone knew what the conditions were like. The whole point of the statue was to honor all that participated in the serum run. Talking about the weather really isn't necessary.

Movies have been known to take out a lot more important details than that, so not really. Didn't bother me.

I was actually inspired to look up the true story and read the inscription for myself.
Was a little taken aback that it was different in the movie, but I didn't bother me to the point that I wish it was word for word in the film.
