Found lost on the street, young Warbler didnt know what to expect when 24 year old Prince picked her up and gave her a home with he and his wife. Warbler tries to fit in with her new family as best she can. She meets new difficulties when she discovers Prince also has a young son by the name of Duke. Duke and Warbler clash often, despite how hard Warbler tries to be friends with him. Duke despises having his father giving his attention to another child while Duke is around. He holds onto his jealousy to the bitter end. Fitting into a new family is a tough thing for young Warbler, with her problems with Duke at a never ending cycle, Warbler also meets her new adopted parent's family, only to find trouble arising at every turn. Warbler hangs on, hoping to endure every trouble she and her new family face together.

Prince groaned as he practically threw his phone onto the table after hanging up with his sister. He moved to the couch to grabbed his jacket as his eight year old son ran by.
"Duke don't run in the house!" Prince called and the boy slowed down.
"Sorry dad!" Duke disappeared into his room.
Prince grabbed his jacket and began to put it on, he needed to get out and get some fresh air, so he planned to take a walk down the road.

Warbler sniffled as she huddled tighter into the tree hollow, pulling her thin coat tighter around her shivering frame.
"Momma..... WHy?!" She practically screamed at the sky as it darkened and rumbled with thunder. She cryed, letting all the emotions flow, as she the rain pattered against the tree. She stood, and climbed out, begining to run down the road, her heart jolting with every step. Her pale skin, painted with bruises, lightened in the lightening. She siffled again, and she gripped her ribs, remebering a sharp kick from her father. She sank down by a trash can in the park, thinking of her final destination.

Lyric walked in from the kitchen, and noticed Prince seemed stressed.
"Where are you going?" she walked over to Prince, noticing he picked up his jacket. Her head tilted slightly. "Something wrong?"

Prince shook his head.
"I just need to talk a walk real quick, baby," he pulled his jacket over him tightly. "My sister's got me so wracked...I'll be back in a few..just need some fresh air."
So Prince stepped out the door and commenced walking down the streets. He listened to the rolling thunder and thought back to the times he'd run these very woods for hours without tiring. He perked when he heard what he thought was the sound of running feet. He looked around, looking for the source of the sound.

Warbler screamed at another crack of loud thunder, and shivered even more violently, clutching at her broken ribs as she heard someone's eerie footsteps.
"Whose there?!!" She cryed out, terrified of some stranger hurting her worse.

Before he walked out the door, she sighed and walked over to the couch, sitting down.
"But it's raining," she mumbled to herself, rolling her eyes. "he's so..crazy," she rolled her eyes and laid down.

Prince perked when he heard the cry. He crept closer and found a child cowering behind a trashcan. He moved over slowly to her, trying not to scare her.
"Hey," he said gently, "What are you doing out here in the rain, kiddo?"

Warbler shrunk closer back against the bin, and swallowed. Her red eyes gleamed, shiny with tears, puffy and swollen from consten crying.
"I..I..." She was cut off by a crack of thunder, and she practically jumped into the stranger's arms, so terrified. She hugged close to her a small Blue octopus, and sniffled.
"M-my momma threw m-me out...I wasn't p-p-perfect.." She sobbed.

Lyric sat up and watched Duke for awhile, which she hated doing, because she absolutely hated kids, then she got bored and laid down, deciding to go to sleep for a minute.

"Hey, hey, hey," Prince said gently, picking up the young girl. "It''s alright," he reassured her.
He glanced around, looking for anyone this child could be with, but finding no one he sighed.
"Alright," he started. "Let's get you outta the rain first of all, huh kiddo?" he said as he began to walk back up the rode to his house.

She squirmed to get closer to Prince, her ears folding flat against her head, then Warbler screamed.
"WAIT WAIT WAIT!! I fogot Iggy!!!" She jumped out of Prince's arms rushing over, picking up the blue octopus, then walking over to Princem looking up at him nervously as they got to the house. He opened the door, and she sighed as the rush of warmth engulfed her shivering frame. Warbler clutched Iggy tighter, looking around.

Lyric perked and woke up, she wasn't asleep long enough to fall into a deep sleep. She rubbed her eyes.
"Prince, what's that?" she questioned, not sounding too amused.

Prince picked up Warbler up into his arms and stepped completely inside, closing the door behind him.
"A kid..." he replied. "She was cold...it's raining and she doesn't have anyone." He looked over at his girl. "Baby, i couldn't just leave her there."

Warbler whined at Lyric, as she snapped at Prince, **** to his jacket as she stood. When picked up again, she clutched onto Iggy, sniffling, then rapidly grasping her ribs.
"OWWWWW!!!" She moaned, lifting up her hand to see blood, and her eyes shot open. She breathed quickly, and teared up holding up her hand for prince to See.
