Jeffrey Varab is one of the main animators on the films I have quoted. He worked on many of the films we love, and guess what? I've been contacted directly (!!!) by a company which works with him, so that I could let you know about this : http://www.drawingwithjeffrey.com/Quote: "Hello, and thank you for visiting my website. I'm Jeffrey Varab, the host of the "Drawing with Jeffrey" series. Over the past 30 years I have had the good fortune to work on major theatrical releases for Disney, ILM, Steven Spielberg, and Don Bluth. During that time I've worked with some of the greatest talents in the industry on films like "The Fox and the Hound", "All Dogs go to Heaven", "Mulan", "Titan AE" and many others.
In recent years there has been a strong shift in the industry to 3D Animation, and while I share in that excitement, and the capabilities of that medium, I am also a firm believer in traditional 2D art and its place within the entertainment industry. It is the goal of this series to provide artists, both young and old, with the tools and techniques they need to build a strong foundation so they can create characters of cinematic quality for the next great television series or theatrical release. " I think this fits perfectly with our philosophy on the site. And he has offered to answer your questions! So, go on! What would you like to ask him? Post here, and I'll send him the questions directly.

Does he have any art tips? Would he enjoy working on another film like he has before, or would he like to explore different styles or types of movies(like, still animation, but maybe instead of children's, maybe more violent ones? Or mayb a different drawing style instead of cartoon-style. Such as realistic.)?

I have a question for him: did he animate the sequels of Balto as well?

In the original post in the news on the site, Balto was mentioned. Did he create the designs for the characters, or just animate them?

Looking back at the old days of traditional 2D animation, do you miss how it was back then? Do you ever sit back and allow yourself a bit of nostalgia when you see how much things have changed? And do you wish back to a simpler time?

I love the work you did! Do you ever think of doing it for Balto again?
