I'd kinda been hoping that, too. :\ But the only change I've seen are a lot of new "sources". They have gotten out of control imo. Seems like a new one comes out every week.

Mono (RJ) wrote: 5. I've said it before, I'll say it again: this forum reminds me of a Communist regime. Orwell once said 'All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others' and this definately applies here. A popular, high-ranking member says something bad about someone else, his/her comment is met with acclaim but when the tables are turned, the latter is banned for 'flaming' or 'trolling' and the whole forum is fed a pile of screenshots that take innocent comments that are blown out of context. This happens back and forth until the whole bloody forum knows about it and is divided in half. It all boils down to these things though: popularity, friendship and loyalty. Basically what Sora said about favourtism.
My reasons for not being interested in this site. I just come on here for the lulz mainly, because a new drama does pop up like once a month. I gotta agree. I hate favourtism, though sometimes you don't notice you do it. But I see it alot with the popular members and mods, it kinda sucks and its a little embarrasing... I think there should be a line between Ok and warning, and it should apply for all sources, nuff said.. Sora-Kun wrote: 4. Deleting negative comments or criticisms. I agree with this, though there must be a line between opinion and trolling, but members should be PM'd about their comments/actions, so they are not left in the dark. lol Sora-Kun wrote: 3. Horrific modding practices like dragging members into personal conflicts, abusing power, and favoritism.
I agree here too, what stays between two people, should. Quite frankly I'll speak for alot of people, most people don't care who backstabbed who until their name gets brought up or they get "backstabbed" as well. Quote: 6. Renders as a whole, it's glorified tracing that's crippling AS's artists.
I still hate renders with a passion, though I don't bother with sending much art on here anymore, so I don't have too much room to complain. lol

Please do not drag the Staff into that one. I find that horribly offensive; The Tribunal was Steet's decision, and his alone. It took ALL of us moderators by surprise and if my memory serves, MOST if not ALL the moderators disagreed with it, myself included. It was purely a stunt by the webmaster, and not condoned by any staffers as far as I know. It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever had the displeasure of seeing on a public forum and I hope to never see it again.

1. Constantly pumping out cookie cutter sites with no fanbase to make it worth the time or server space to create. 2. Neglecting pressing issues on the more active sources in favor of creating new sources nobody is going to use. 3. Horrific modding practices like dragging members into personal conflicts, abusing power, and favoritism. 4. Deleting negative comments or criticisms. Censorship sucks and makes the team look bad. You run the most popular site in the Balto fandom, you can't afford to have skin as thick as wet rice paper. 5. Elitism and pretentiousness rampant. You can't get uppity about renders because renders require zero talent. 6. Renders as a whole, it's glorified tracing that's crippling AS's artists. 7. Trying too hard to make AS the happiest place on earth at the expense of others. Not everyone is going to be happy with every decision made and people (like me lawl) make a hobby out of nitpicking. 8. The Tribunal forum. It's still one of the most grossly unprofessional things I've seen a website staff do.
And that is every grievance I can remember at 3 in the morning. = Why I hardly ever come on anymore. If you add "Pointless drama over nothing" in there too. It's my job to try and keep things running properly but ... seriously? How on Earth I'm (and other mods) are supposed to do that with all of the butthurt is beyond me. I knew some of the staff were against the tribunal.

And that is every grievance I can remember at 3 in the morning. 1. and 2. I partially agree. Some sources are really useless because of lack of fans, like Robin Hood source... 4. Seriously what do mods think? Do they want to make this site so friendly that anyone can say a bad word about anything? I also hate how many, maaany members are orerreacting about bad comments. INTERNET IS NOT ONLY PEOPLE WHO WILL AGREE WITH YOU OR LOVE YOU. If someone gives you a critique - ACCEPT IT and try to improve yourself instead of BAWWWing that someone hates you because he said something bad about your creation. 5. I completely disagree with it. Of course recolour is not a drawing, but this actually requires a graphic talent and graphic is an art too. Look at Demeter's or Amyloup's images and tell me again that recoloring requires no talent.
