A Marill and Charmander are caught in an avalanche and trapped in a cave. To escape they must venture deep into the cave? But what dangers lurk there? will they survive?

A deep rumble echoed in the cave, and Marill's sensitive ears turned toward the location of the sound. Her tail bobbing curiously, she moved forward, and stumbled away just as quickly as her eyes saw what was happening. An avalanche!

"Charmander, we need to move farther back into the cave!" Marill urged, stumbling backwards. A few rocks and stalacites fell fro the ceiling, and a handful of disturbed Zubat flew through the air, their screeching cries hurting Marill's ears.

Charmander looked wide-eyed at the ceilling. She grabbed Marill by the hand and ran deeper into the cave. "Hang on Marill!" Charmander swerved around the falling stalacties and jumped behind a boulder. She held on tight to Marill as the rocks collapsed around them. The frantic zubats getting hit every now and then letting out terrifying shrieks.

After what felt like an eternity, the rumbling stopped, leaving only the sound of pebbles skittering across the ground. Marill cautiously looked around, blinking away the dust that filtered from the ceiling. Looking at the rocky entrance, a quick feeling of dread coursed through her; they were trapped.

Charmander let out a gasp as she too noticed that what used to be the entrance was now simply a pile of rubble. "Oh no! we're trapped! How will we ever get out"? She began to panic as she franticly looked around for a way out. But alas there was nothing around but rocks.

"...We can't," Marill murmured, her ears twitching frantically. "We're stuck in here."

That tore it for Charmander, she opened her mouth and screamed. "NOOO!" with that an incredible flamethrower shot forth tward the back of the cave and knocked out a small opening leading down a small dark tunnel.

"Calm down!" Marill warned quickly. "Other Pokemon may not take kindly to being hit with a blast of flame, or being woken by a noisy Charmander," she added. "Besides, we can at least go exploring now. There may be a way out farther back now that you opened it up."

"You're right, Marill. I'm sorry, I tend to panic when I'm trapped". Charmander eyed the opening, it was just big enough for them. "Alright, I supose we should give it a shot". She held her tail up like torch so they could see better.

"It's fine," Marill replied, giving a small smile. She let Charmander lead the way; she had the light, after all.

Charmander smiled back and started down the tunnel.

Marill followed. Loud screeches echoed in the cave as some Zubat finally got settled after the avalanche. To be honest, the cave was rather creepy. There was no light other than Charmander's tail flame, and the shadows it cast kept making Marill think something was creeping up on them.

Charmander shivered, it was cold in the cave. She pressed fward but sudenly stoped when she thought she saw movment. "Marill, did you see that"?
