Alright, this is something that's been in my head recently that might actually get more progress on this. We've got a fanfiction version at least somewhat made of the pilot, so why not continue it as a novelization of the comic version? Here's my idea:

One version is the 'offical' one with pictures and everything.

The other is a novelization of the script without pictures that will be made in fanfiction format. Novelizations are common for real movies, TV shows, and even comics so it works from a real world perspective to do that same as well.

The reason this will help?

1. If gets the ball rolling and will help us make the overall layout for the series.

2. Lets people who aren't artistically inclined enough to help with the comic and would have their efforts better spent in the making of a novelization actually do something other than sit around spouting ideas.

3. It'll attract more attention to the project in total and possibly get us more help.

4. The comic version is coming very slowly and would take so long to do on its own that people who can't directly help with it would grow bored and might leave. This would show progress is being made and we're working.

So, what do you think?

I don't really see the difference there would be between the fanfic version and the novelization (besides it's not really a fanfic currently but a screenplay)

Kind of my point, actually, in using the fanfiction version as a novelization. Ok, but whose to say we can't turn it into one? I'm just suggesting it because it'll help get the project going.

I honestly find difficult to see much difference between a fanfic and a "novelization". Unless you can prove me the opposite.
In any case, seeing actual drawings is what will make people excited, not just text.

Well novelization would ecentually be an actual written version of the final product with added detail (as you need to descrive the things the pictures show) and give insight into the characters thoughts. Technically, a fanfic could be a novelization, the difference here is we're actually writting a written version of something intended to be much more than that.

Anyway, the main reason I'm suggesting this is so we can get more progress done. This project has been going extremely slowly and we might get more people to help out if we have more to show for it. That and not all the VS group are excellent artists and many are much better at writting than artwork. At the very least we may want to consider planning some of the next episode for people who aren't taking part in drawing the episode so that we save time and speed things up and allowing those people to do something useful for the project.

Well in that case, there are a lot of ideas that have been posted which needs some more development (including the second episode, "Mollyzilla")
So if you want to help on the writing side, this is where you can currently help.

Alright, can do. I didn't know that was confirmed as the second episode, but I'll work on it.
