Me and John Cuellar came up with a list of English VAs that would supply the english dub of the series, if it came to the states. Here's a list of VA's we had in mind:

-Kirk Thorton: Baloo
-Michelle Ruff: Rebecca Cunningham
-Maile Flanagan: Kit Cloudkicker
-Quinton Flynn: Wildcat
-Stehpanie Sheh: Molly Cunningham
-Jim Cummings: Don Karnage/Louie
-Vic Mignogna: Mad Dog
-David Kaye: Dumptruck
-Colonel Spiggot: Quinton Flynn
-High Marshall: Scott McNeil
-??: Shere Khan

That's a few I can think of as of now.

THoughts?

Mmm, sorry, I don't know these voice actors so I'm not really able to appropriately comment this.

u can look them up on behindthevoice website and take a listen.

If you played KH2, Kirk Thorton was Sai'x, and Quinton Flynn played Axel. Got it memorized? ;)

That'd be the good idea. I'm interested how Sky Pirates would look like in Japanese anime. ;)

Well, we shouldn't forget two facts :

- TaleSpin was inspired by the japanese films, especially the Ghibli ones.

- It was (largely) produced by Disney Japan

So how would it look if it were an anime? Well, maybe not that different from the one we know. I think this wouln't have changed the mix between humor and dark moments.
The characters styles would have been different, less rounded (classic Disney style) obviously. I guess it would have looked closer to "Sherlock Hound". (furry characters + steampunk = WIN)

But, maybe, there would have been continuity. Strangely I can't seem to remember a single anime that hadn't continuity...
I also think the scenarios would have been much less varied, because let's be honest, the anime are usually very repetitive. (Besides, they wouldn't have had the money to get 4 staff teams working on it like TaleSpin had!)

- We would have had a little over 200 episodes before the end of the first major story arc, with full continuity.
- Kit's decision to leave the pirates would have been stretched over at least five of these episodes, with foreshadowing, flashbacks and culminating in an epic sword fight between him and Don Karnage wherein the pirate leader vows his unending revenge for the betrayal visited upon him.
- Louie's would be an island fortress that strictly enforced neutrality, and he'd be mediating between Baloo and Karnage constantly, bringing the two together as grudging allies from time to time through sheer force of personality and judicious use of secrets known only to him.
- Rebecca would be a single mother by choice and Higher for Hire would not only be succesful, it would employ a fleet of vehicles of all kinds, and several hundreds of employees.
- Baloo would be a long-time acquaintance of Rebecca, her ace pilot, and it would be hinted at that he is in fact Molly's father, though this revelation won't be made until episode 180. In addition, Baloo would be the master of some long-forgotten swordfighting art, which he hides under the veneer of well-natured buffoon.
- Molly would be at least Kit's age and either a mathematical genius or an ace motorcycle driver.
- Kit would be not only an ace pilot, would likely either have his own single engine plane, know how to navigate, be the best swordfighter on the seven seas (aside from his sensei, Don Karnage), constantly pine over the decisions he's had to make in life and become Baloo's partner only after about fifty episodes of intense rivalry through which it is eventually revealed he only aspired to gain the man's respect.
- Wildcat would essentially be Wildcat, though without any of the goof quirks and be the most prolific aeronautic inventor of his age, but works for Rebecca only due to his past with Khan and his exploitation of a benign invention turned to evil.
- Khan would be Khan, but would also fill the role of enigmatic High Balance, silently aiding those he believes most in need of his help, but only to further his plan of a world according to his own vision.

It goes without saying that all aircraft in the series would be armed and a lot of dark and violent drama would take place, miraculously sparing the main cast but wreaking a terrible toll on smaller towns and any seasonal extras that exist only to develop a plotline or reveal a main character's lesser known side.

Double points for anthro appearances from the likes of Sura and Lala.

Oh, I didn't know about that one.
Well that's what I said, it doesn't look SO different from the Disney ones in terms of art style. (there's not the same gap there would be if it was CGI, for example)
