Is it just me or did Steele's 'breakdown' in the film seem to have a great deal in common with Ratigan's from the Great Mouse Detective? They're both rather smug characters most of the time, but when enraged they become very feral (happens to Steele several times), though nether really loses it until the climax, where they both go completely insane (though Steele recovers from his, you can clearly tell he's in a very feral, near insane state when Balto arrives) and brutally assault the hero.
Just something that popped into my head. I doubt it's intentional, but still, I thought it was intresting enough to see if anyone else noticed this.
