Agreed on both points. Disney is just being greedy about it, but that's sort of the nature of the industry now. You know how movies are now coming out in only one package - Blu Ray, DVD and digital download so you have to buy all three? It's pretty reprehensible, but that's how they roll.

The irony is that if Universal did the same thing with Balto, they could actually make a lot of money. One of the few times I wish a major studio would be greedy for my benefit.

Yeah, just for me personally I don't appreciate being forced to pay more money for additional copies of the movie I'll never use or watch. I would prefer the option to buy the blu-ray on its own for less money. What I have a problem with is that they don't give me a choice. I have to buy all three, or nothing. It's just greed on their part.

I would buy a Balto combo like that in a heartbeat though, if only somebody could convince Universal to go back and do a remastered blu-ray with commentaries and extras. I already own The Fox and The Hound so I probably won't be buying it on blu-ray but I am glad they're going back and putting these older movies on blu-ray.
