Who starts?

Well, I mean, is this a continuation of the movie, or what? o.o

I think we could do a countuination of the movie, like if the wolf pack found them or not, and if humans started to force them off their new home.

Or maybe the land could dry up, and a fire would destroy the land, forcing us to try to find greener pasture? o.o

I like the fire idea, can we go with that?

Mei was currently half asleep in Gabu's cave when he awoke. There was this awful smell, but he couldn't quite tell what it was yet. "Gabu? Gabu do you know what's that smell?" Mei softly asked.

Gabu shook awake in a twitch. He narrowed his eyes as the sun passed through his deep green hues. "Huh..." He grunted groggily. His nose twitched as he turned it to the air. Outside, he could see that a thick cloud hung over the meadow, but the air didn't feel damp. He coughed. "I'm not sure, Mei," he said, recoiling a bit from the stench, "but I don't think it's a good sign... We should check it out." The brown form slowly moved onto all fours, stepping just outside the cave where the air was thick and unpleasant.

Mei's big round eyes blinked once, slowly proccessing what his dear friend was saying. He followed his friend outside, and he looked around. Smoke. Mei's brain clicked on from his groggy sleep - Fire! Where there is smoke there's fire!
"Gabu!" Mei crinkled his nose a little, it was awful.

Gabu coughed once more. "No kidding," he said. "We gotta get outta here, fast," he added, looking down to Mei. "Come on, towards the stream; the fire cannot cross it and we'll be safe." The wolf started a quick trot, yet at an alert pace, out of the cave.

Mei followed as quickly as his stubby short legs could take him. Mei started to cough from the smoke, but he kept a decent pace.

Finally reaching a distance where the oxygen was breathable, Gabu stopped, turned around and tried to get his thought straight. "What do you think it is, Mei?" he asked, a bit dumbfounded, being that his life in the mountains had never shown him a fire. He watched as the birds were fleeing from their nests, flying away from the land below.

When the air became more stable, Mei took a deep breath. Ahhhh....
Mei looked up at Gabu, and thought for awhile. "I think its called, a fire. " Mei said. He frowned. "I heard my elders talk about it once or twice." He explained on how he came to the knowledge.

Gabu seated himself and continued to watch as the orange haze settled over the valley, seeming to eat away at everything it touched. "Fire..." he echoed. "I've heard of this before... But we were never bothered by it in the mountains..." He said, ruffling the fur on the back of his neck. "Well, what do we do now?" he questioned.

Mei watched the glow. It was beautiful, but Mei wasn't planning on getting too close to it. "I don't think 'fire' can live on rocks..." Mei said thoughtfully. Maybe a little homesick he was, but Mei was happy to be beside Gabu.

"Maybe, see if there's a way around the fire?"
