A New Life (Accepting, Please Join!)

PLOT:
A wolf pack known as the Saber-Wind Pack has traveled to Nome, Alaska. Their leader, Jesten soon becomes fatally ill and dies, leaving his mate, Amani to lead the pack, but Amani can't watch a pack of 34 wolves AND take care of her 8 pups at the same time. Just three months after Jesten's death, the Beta of the pack, Kilo asks Amani if he could help her on 1 condition. He becomes the new leader... as well as her new mate. Amani rejects, saying that even though Jesten is dead, he's still her mate and he's still the pack's leader. Meanwhile, a sled team is getting ready for the annual Nome Sled Run that the town holds every year on December 17th. Three weeks before the race, Xavier, the leader of the sled team gets into a fight with his mate, Melanie who's the 1st swing dog of the team. As a result, Melanie is kicked off the team with no one to take her place. A beautiful wolf-dog, Janice volunteers to replace Melanie. Xavier accepts her offer and Janice takes Melanie's spot on the team. During the run, which is to White Mountain and back (kind of like they did in Wings of Change, except this time they're not racing a plane and they're not delivering mail,) the team goes into the Saber-Wind's territory. Amani, being the leader orders the pack to attack the team. The pack obeys, attacking and killing all of the team members except for Janice and Xavier (and whoever wants to be on the sled team,) who surrender. Amani takes a liking to them, inviting them to join her pack. Xavier and Janice accept, curious about what wolf packs are like. Little do they know... their ex mates have joined the pack too... and the pack is about to get into one of the most extreme fights with a rival pack EVER.

Amani roamed the forest, looking for caribou for her pack and pups. She finally spotted two caribou. She had her eye on the biggest one. She leapt into the air, catching the caribou by the throat. The caribou bellowed and then fell to the ground. The other caribou ran away. She walked away proudly, dragging her kill to the cave where her pack lived. "Food!!" She called into the cave. The pack rushed out, They began tearing at the skin, trying to get the juicy. sweet, raw meat inside.

Janice walked towards her owner's house. She had been adopted from a puppy mill in California. Her owner, a 23 year old man named Adam adopted her and then moved to Alaska where he trained Janice for sledding. She barked as soon as she got to the door. Adam opened the door. "Hey, Janice. C'mere, girl." He said, opening his arms. Janice leapt into them and licked her master's cheek. "All right, all right. That's enough, girl." Adam said. "I have someone I'd like you to meet. Follow me." He walked upstairs, Janice following close behind. Adam slowly and quietly opened the door. Inside, a woman with shoulder-length dark blonde hair sat in a rocking chair. She had something wrapped in a pink blanket cradled in her arms. She looked up as soon as Adam walked in the door. "Hey. Janice, there's someone who wants to see you." She whispered. Janice walked over slowly, unsure of what it was that the woman held in her arms. The woman removed the blanket. Cradled inside the blanket was... a baby. "This is your new little playmate. That way, you won't be so lonesome." Adam whispered. "Her name is Madison." Janice softly licked the newcomer's cheek. The baby cooed and grasped Janice's nose. Janice smiled and pulled away.

Xavier looked around, making sure no one was in sight. Then, he walked into the boiler room. Melanie was sitting by the fire. "Ahem. You wanted to see me, Melanie." He said in an Australian accent. "Yes. Umm... Xavier, it's kind of hard for me to say, but I... I'm leaving you." "Why?" "I-It's not you. It's me. I just... I don't think we're right for each other, you know?" "So... what you're saying is that... we're through?" Melanie nodded. "I... I-I can't BELIEVE YOU!!!!" "Xavier, hon. Please. Let's just dis-" "WHAT IS THERE TO DISCUSS?!!!" "Don't. You. DARE. Yell at me. You know how mad I can get!!!"

Description: Her fur is copper colored, with a cream chest, leg, and tail markings. She had a small "star" on her forehead, and pretty blue eyes. She has a snow nose, making her eyes more prominent at times. She has a compact build made for endurance and speed.
History: Formerly owned by an abusive man, she was eventually found, malnourished and frightened, by a nearby shelter. She was taken care of, and bonded with one of the ladies there, who often gave her special attention. She remained fairly skittish of others at first, but warmed up to them quickly. She was finally adopted by a musher, and became part of the sled team.
Future: Will be revealed, I suppose.

History: When I was 2 my father kicked me and my sister Raven out of the pack. Raven and I had walked and joined many packs until deciding to leave. Now things have changed, there is way to much at stake to be a loner. Now I'm looking for a pack for my sister and my kids.

Description: Kass is a young Siberian Husky/Labrador mix. He has light blond fur with a white under belly and white paws. One of his ears in point while the other is half floppy. He has a bushy husky-like tail, and deep brown eyes. He wears a loose fitting rope, not that he really belongs to anyone. He is a stray, but is great with everyone in town.
History: Kass was born and raised in Nome. He was never one to wonder too far from the city, and enjoyed his care-free days as a stray. Though he always wanted a human boy to call his own, considering both of his parents had humans. He always envied them, but once his puppyhood humans threw him out if was apparent to Kass that he wasn't wanted. Eventually his talents as a sled-dog were noticed and he was put on Xavier's sled-team.
Future: All in good time...
Crush: He's a flirt, so any girl he can get his paws on.
Mate: None really, he's not one for commitment
Pups: None, well maybe, if he does have kids he, he doesn’t know they exist
