What is up with the short or no character bio?or it says(more coming). That gets on my nerves and whenever my character bios are short, they get deactivated but not theirs?how is that fair?Oh and another thing, the rules clearly state a headshot/body pick MUST be presented on character page when makign one.. but why do people get away with breaking rules?I report them but nothing seems to be done...

Characters are automatically accepted now. And really the only stuff that will get deactivated is stolen characters or wolfified anime characters since everything else is fair game. Reporting stuff is absolutely meaningless now, the mods have their hands tied.

Get ready to have the character section made completely obsolete because it's so flooded with crappy or unfinished characters.

^ this

I was going to say the same.
Even if in the rules (when you're making a char) is stated that you character must be completed with at least some lines of personality/history and with a head/body pic, Steet said that the only character that deserves to be deactivated are only the stolen ones, the ones based on Movies/Anime/Books and, of course, the duplicated pages.

So, yeah, now everything is allowed, I think then that I can make my dragon char and Ginga OCs a page now! : D weeee!

This and that. lol

To be honest, I stopped looking at the characters now. And I won't look at anyone's characters on AS because of this rule. -_- Waste of time clicking on those sparklethings.

Don't be put off to look at some characters! Granted, a lot are completely awful, but there are also many realistic ones who have had a lot of effort and time into them c; JC's Togo, Balto and Fritz are just three examples.

I have to admit, the short bios are annoying, I prefer a character having a full on history, from its past, present and future. And this whole 'let's have the fan characters run amok' thing is making me feel deeply pained of even accepting new ones coming in, mainly because half of them are *shrugs* sparkles, and, blech! But, a job's a job, even if this new rule has my fingers shaking, which it has. My fingers shake more now than ever.

Wow I am surprised people aren't mad at me for posting how I feel about this.. but yeah they should have past, present and future. Or else it wouldn't be a character, just a shell of a character with no filling in it which doesn't make it a character. Makes it LAME....Or lack of creativity XD

but looks like some kids didn't liked to see their "perfect and aweshum" one line long blue and pink german sheperd to be deactivated because of those reasons...

I just think if you make a character, take pride just not throw it out there saying"oh well, it's here deal with it"

People don't get this is a Balto Source. Or TLK, or Lady and the Tramp, etc. Granted, my characters usually don't have a very good connection. Most of my characters are old, and I have yet to update my gallery from...last year, and months ago. Many months.

Do you you see sparkle-dogs in Balto? Well...you could argue that you do. But are they bright pink with neon green stripes? No. They aren't. They are pretty dang close to being natural colors. People will say that "oh, you're trying to stop me from being creative, by making my characters not sparkley". Not true. It's just as easy to be creative with more natural colors as it is neon shades of pink and green. In my mind, it adds challenge, in a way, making it more fun to create designs.

Which brings me to my next point. If you want to create a character, put effort in it. I understand if you're five, and your bio consists of name, gender, and possibly a small, teensy personality. But if you're a teenager, or an adult, you shouldn't be doing this. You've all taken basic English classes, hopefully. You know how to type, how to write essays, how to create stories. And you should know proper grammar. Or at least how to spell "you".

Yet you don't use any of these skills, taught to you for a reason. Granted, the reason may not be internet sites, but that isn't an excuse not to write a decent history! For pete's sake people, is it that hard? It doesn't have to be anything elaborate. A sentence or two would be an improvement over the nothing we get these days.

And if it isn't nothing, it's crap. Some of it may have had effort put into it, and if that's the case, this doesn't apply to you, and I apologize if you thought it did. To those of you that didn't, (the majority, I'm guessing) well...get your act together. That's the only thing I can say. No strict rules doesn't mean you have to be lazy and uncreative. In fact, it should spur you to expand your horizons, and add uniquie twists to your character you couldn't before. Instead, we get trash. No offense.

-I now conclude my lengthy rant.-
