How here the forum is english, is almost impossible know what gender is the person who are posting, so why don't you install a mod that wlow we see the gender of the user on its each post?

Mmm, the problem is that I'm not sure that using mods is a good idea, because it often make problems, especially when updating to new versions of PHPBB (I'll have to reinstall the mods each time, or I'll have to manually modify the forums code to make the update...not cool) And they're maybe people who wouldn't want their gender to be displayed.

Also you can let the member hide it's gender when they chose in the profile section.

well, until you make this poll about it. I just to say now that I fully agree with it  (sometimes it's hard to go and try to tell by names   ). so when this poll is made where will it be at ?, it seems it would fit under other .
