I was reading through the Rules and realized how outdated they have come to be. So, I'm suggesting that maybe the rules could be up to date with what the site has come to be, and make them more understandable. There isn't very many, but they still should be changed. There is also one rule that confuses me - 4. No animated sigs or avatars - and yet, this is in the avatar gallery. Sure it's only maybe 2 or 3 frames but it's still animated. 13. Balto ~ this rule tells us this is a Balto and TLK only site, but it could be changed to something along the lines of "Respect this site's topics" and in the rule's description have a list of all the animated movies/series that this site is affiliated with. That way, it isn't so confusing to new members who haven't seen Balto or TLK but joined because of Spirit, Lady and the Tramp, etc. Also, there is no "No Spam" rule, as far as I have seen. And if there is somewhere along the description of one of the rules, it should become an actual rule, that way people won't spam the forum and not understand when they get banned for something that is not in the rules. ~~I'm not trying to be rude or teach you guys how to run your site, I'm just telling you what I think - I hope I don't come off as rude. I also wasn't sure if this was supposed to be in the Rant section or Suggestions section, so I just posted it here.

Psh. Oh mai. Okay. Here's the thing... Polar wrote: There is also one rule that confuses me - 4. No animated sigs or avatars - and yet, this is in the avatar gallery. Sure it's only maybe 2 or 3 frames but it's still animated. Submitting animated avatars and sigs may be okay in the image galleries on the site, but you can NOT use them on the forums. That's what the rule implies. For as it goes on to explain, to many animated graphics on one page can make it take FOREVER to load on slow servers and what not. Polar wrote: 13. That way, it isn't so confusing to new members who haven't seen Balto or TLK but joined because of Spirit, Lady and the Tramp, etc. Considering the site is always growing with new Sources, it's easier to just say 'Balto' and assume you'll logically imply the same for the rest of the films, series, etc that are featured on the site. Balto and TLK were the first here, so that's why those are the only ones listed. Polar wrote: Also, there is no "No Spam" rule, as far as I have seen. Spam is simply posting nonsense that is to short or off topic in a topic. Do NOT post spam. That should be more or less just common sensible. We try to encourage and let other members have their opinions and feel free to say them [that's what forums are kinda for...], so don't worry, you're fine. And this is in the right section.

By the avatar gallery, I meant the avatar gallery on the forums. Where users who don't make their own avatars find certain Balto and TLK icons, and I was just saying that the avatar where Scar is holding the mouse is animated - and against the rules. So I could be removed or made to stand still.. Roi Doberwolf wrote: Polar wrote: 13. I understand that Spam is a nuisance and I'm not saying that it is okay to use. It still should be put in the rules as a clarification for some people, in my opinion.

So I could be removed or made to stand still.. Sounds like someone's just breaking the rules then. But that depends if they're using the animated avatar on the forums or sharing it in a topic post. The rules only mention spam once as far as I browsed. And then it wasn't a set rule persay. The rules that cover spam say: "7. No short answers - Avoid uninteresting and short comments such as "good job", "I like it"... that does not bring anything to the topic." "8. No off-topics - Try to keep on the subject. Avoid the off-topics." "15. No Useless Topics/Posts : Please do not post topics and/or posts that are useless. They are defined as "useless" if they do not contain material that can be replied to in an intelligent manner. Ie, "I fell down today," or "I got my braces off!" People don't have too much to say about that."
