Name: Cobalt
Age: Two, almost Three, years of age
Gender: Male
Breed: Believed to be an Alaskan Husky, but not sure

Personality: Cobalt is the type of dog that has an all around personality, and is prone to mood swings. Around strangers, he is either reserved, defensive, or welcoming - depending on their personality. Around his friends or dogs he knows well, he is quite talkative and enjoys sharing his thoughts with anyone. Although he can be a little naive, he is still brave when he has to be and is protective of the ones he loves. His mood swings is not something one could get used to quickly.

History: Cobalt was born in Fort Yukon, Alaska during the spring of 1930. His parents' owner was an Alaskan Husky breeder and when Cobalt was 5 weeks old, the house they lived in caught fire. He was trapped under a fallen bookshelf that had nearly crushed him. He fell unconscious from the smoke and woke up two days later at the Animal Hospital of Fort Yukon. His siblings has burned to death in the fire and he had several burns all over his body. He doesn't know what happened to his parents or any of the other dogs but when he was eight weeks old and fully recovered, the breeder sold him to a professional sled dog trainer in Fairbanks, Alaska. Cobalt was trained hard and grew stronger every day for six months.
His trainer sold him and three other dogs at eight months old to a new trainer in Bethel, Alaska. This time, he was taught to pull a sled with a full team, instead of pulling a crate of logs like he did in Fairbanks. When he was fully trained and thirteen months old, he was sent to Nome, Alaska to become a real sled dog. He lives in Nome and does not remember his first few months as a pup, but lives happily in Nome - until he meets Kateri.

Gender: Female
Breed: Alaskan Klee Kai, Alaskan Husky - Like Cobalt, her breed isn't 100% correct, but that is what she was called when sold to the Kirklands

Personality: Kat is the gentle, charming type that is eager to make friends and feel welcomed. Although she has a gentle aura, she can be fierce when she needs to be. She prefers to be in a group rather than by herself, having suffered from monophobia, the fear of being alone. She is protective but not too protective of the ones she is close to and loves, but she will not stand by and allow anyone to be hurt.

History: Born in Fort McPhetson, Canada, Kateri grew up around champion sled dogs such as her mother and her father. When she and her brother were five weeks old, they were sold to a sled dog trainer in Tok, Alaska. Her brother was trained harder than her, having the makings of a lead dog and her more of a team dog. Unlike Tonok, they were trained from beginner until they had completed the training of a sled dog. Kat finished her training first, having not to train as much as her brother did, and was sold to the Kirkland's in Anchorage when she was fourteen months old.
She lived with them for two months until they adopted her brother as well. They both joined a sled team and ran from Anchorage to Whittier, Alaska every weekend, transporting mail, goods, and anything they needed. When they were almost two years old, the Kirkland's decided to move to Nome, Alaska. As much as Kat and her brother disdained going, they are forced to go.

Breed: Alaskan Husky
Personality: Somewhat of a coward, Trek tries to be brave, but just ends up letting his past get to him in the end. He loves his sister to death, but for some reason can never build up the courage to help her. She's the one who helps him. He has a very creative mind, but again he's afraid to speak it out. He prays someday he'll build the courage to speak out and save someone else. Though the thought of getting hurt himself or the thought of death scares him to the bone.

Personality: Strong and tough, Kara lets nothing get past her. She's hard-headed and will put up fights with others when necessary. She does have anger issues every now and then, though she tries her best to keep her cool. Despite this, she's very friendly/

Gender: Male
Breed: Alaskan Klee Kai/Alaskan Husky
Personality: A good leader, even though he doesn't believe so. While he isn't insecure, he does believe he has a lot of room for improvement. He is always pushing himself to be better, and is often stubborn. He can be patient, but for the most part, is rather impulsive. He is lead by his heart, not his head, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

He can be a bit over-protective of his sister, and those close to him. He is curious and has a big heart with plenty of courage. He isn't stuck up like some dogs are when met by praise, instead feeling embarrassed. He will stand up for what he believes, and while he does care what others think about him, especially those on his team, doesn't take insults or critique to heart like some do. He isn't perfect, not even close, but he is a good friend.
History: (mentioned in Kateri's bio. Not much I can add, I'm afraid.)
Crush: A small one on Kara, possibly. I'm still debating.

Appearance: While you can easily tell he is related to Kateri, his fur is darker, closer to black than her's. He has the same face markings, but the white extends all the way down his chest, connecting to the white on his belly. The tip of his tail has the barest hint of white, and his eyes a clear blue. Alchak has a build that immediatly lets you know he is a racer. While not as heavily muscled or stocky as some dogs, he is tall and lean, though not in anyway skinny. He's just...stream-lined.
Extras: He has an intense fear of heights.

Breed: Tamaskan Dog
Personality: Friendly and optimistic, Sakii tries to see the good in people. She will sometimes fail though. While she doesn't consider herself brave, she is incredibly loyal and would stand by her friends through anything. She can be a bit tempermental at times, and will struggle to control her temper. She can't hold a grudge, and will soon forgive, or apologize.
History: Born onto the streets, she was soon taken into a shelter. It put some people off that she looked similiar to a wolf-dog, but she was soon adopted by a family who bred sled racing dogs. When it became clear she had potential, she was trained to become a sled dog, and has been on a team ever since finishing her training.

Personality: Taleka is a very mischievous husky. She is very outgoing and loves steak. She is also very talkative and playful. She can run really fast. She hopes to one day be Trek's mate. She has forgotten all about her abusive past as a puppy and looks forward to the annual sled race.
History: Taleka has had a very troubled past as a pup. Her father left her mother when she was pregnant with Taleka and her 7 siblings because he didn't want to raise pups, let alone 7 of them. Then, one stormy December night, Taleka and her sisters and brother were born. Taleka was the runt of the litter. Her brother and sisters often teased her because she was the smallest out of the litter and her mother abused her often because she felt that Taleka was the reason her mate left her. When she turned a year old, she ran away from home because she felt she didn't belong with her family and that it wasn't worth living with her abusive mother and siblings. That was when she joined a local sled team. She had always dreamed of being on a sled team and so she tried out for the team and got accepted. The members of the team were very nice to her, especially a male named Trek, whom she had developed a huge crush on. Seeing as she had nowhere else to go (she certainly didn't want to go back to her family,) she joined the sled team. She is Swing Dog #2.

Extras: She has a scar on her left eye that she got from her mother and a claw mark that trails down her back, also from her mother. She has multiple bite wounds from her siblings. Taleka also has a heart shaped brown colored birthmark on her left back leg. Finally, she also has a lightning shaped black colored birthmark on her tail.

Age: Four Years

Breed: Czechoslovakian Wolfdog
Personality: Straightforward and honest, Saber goes about life believing in what he thinks is right, and this has never done him any wrong in most situation. Fiery and passionate, he doesn't hesitate to aid those around him when they're in need. And he is willing to die for those that he loves. Possessing many powers of both a beautiful and dangerous nature, he has learned a great deal of self-control as to help him maintain a safe presence around others. Deadly when required to be but the model male figure at all times, Saber has taken the best of both words and wrapped them into one life he is glad to have. Has a deep sense of justice and nobelty that looms over him, sometimes in his words or simply in the way he carries himself. Saber is believed to have strong dignity for himself and well give respect to others whom express themselves deeming of his acknowledgement.
History: It was debated that he was born as a project from laboratory testing that went wrong. One day out in the socializing patio, he bolted and escaped into the streets. it didn't take him long for his appearance to be picked on by other people, who didn't want the wolf dog near their children and household pets. Some days in, he was rounded up by the Animal Control Officers and put into a kennel within their pound for holding. It was here, at the age of 18 months, when a single man caught interest in his rather rare breed and history. He took the young dog in and began to work with him, starting with some basic training and soon into sled pulling. Saber had power and his owner quickly noted it, giving him practice rounds near the end of the sled, and he worked beautifully. Two years later he was shipped to Nome, where he's started his new life.

Also, I made the plot a bit more detailed so that we can get a better grasp on the main idea. I edited my character's biographies as well - I decided to make them a little more...likeable ^^
