---Plotline---

For Layla, magic has been nothing but a dream. It was always there, but out of reach. Now, that dream has become reality. And turned into a nightmare.

Random, but horrifying, acts of "witchcraft" keep happening, causing havoc and fear to wreak destruction on most of the citizens. Now the government is turning almost medieval, burning people accused of magic at the stake. While Layla hasn't been accused yet, the threat grows ever stronger.

And the ones who have been doing the acts of dark magic are coming after Layla. She, apparently, has tons of power, and they believe they can "convince" her to join them. With all of this happening, Layla finally confides in her friends, who turn out to be in the same situation has her; magical, but without a clue what to do.

Can they save the world from falling apart? Can they even survive?


---Rules---

~No swearing, not even censored. (That includes using God's name in vain...sorry. However, I don't count "crap" as a curse word, so feel free to use that, un-censored.)
~No god-modding, power-playing, etc. For goodness' sake, just follow the AS rules.
~You may not be given permission to join, depending on your biography. If you aren't, please no flaming, arguing, etc.
~This is semi-advanced. At least one paragraph per character, though two is preferred.
~You can only play one of "Layla's friends". The other characters could be normal humans, or some of the dark magic users. Be creative.
~No more than three characters.
~Full bio's please. (post "Lunar Eclipse" above your biography if you read the rules. Fully.
~Have fun!
(As a small side note, I'll only be using one character, so I can focus more on detail and quality throughout my posts. Someone, please take up the position of the leader of the dark magic users. Feel free to send him out to kidnap Layla and her friends, etc. Add some more conflict.)

Crush/Spouse: None, though open for a small crush. Nothing major.
Kids: A bit young...
Personality: A bit impulsive at times, she doesn't like sitting still or quitting. She finds it hard to back down from a challenge, or admit she's wrong, but she'll do it if it's absolutely necessary. While gentle and caring to those close to her, she can be tempermental at times, and won't hesitate to use her sharp tongue or....magic, on those who threaten her. While she wouldn't ever kill someone, she would willingly fight to protect her friends. She is curious, and can usually keep her wits about her during times of stress or danger.

Fear(s): Heights and fire (like, big wildfires. Not candle flames.)
Description: She has dark, ebony hair, tinted by the barest hint of a dark shade of red. It is curly and often tangled, reaching her shoulders. She has hazel eyes, which can shift color depending on the light, but usually retain some green and brown. She has a few freckles dotting the bridge of her nose, and has a tall, slim build.

Lunar Eclipse

Name: James Gossamer

Personality: Jamie tends to hide behind the mask of a tough guy who can take anything life throws at him, but on the inside, he's quite the opposite. He feels as though he can't ask anyone for help, because he thinks he has to prove himself or else he'll be seen as a wimp. He's also afraid that if he shows how vulnerable he really is, people will take advantage of him. Even though he may not show it, he's sensitive to about what people say about him. He's protective of those he's close to and will gladly jump in front of a train for any of them, especially Layla, whom he'd known forever.
History: All I've got for now is that he'd known Layla since they were both little, and he developed feelings for her at around 13, and still has them.
Fear(s): The dark (even though he won't admit it)
Description:
Other: He has a younger brother whom he refers to as "Tin Man", and he can sort of feel the magic at his fingertips, but is a bit scared to use it even if he could.

She'll do embarrassing things to herself without realizing it- like going into the boys bathroom at school when the girls bathroom was shut. She hates it when someone touches her face and hair- she spends hours every morning doing her makeup and hair.
History: Average.
Fear(s): Not graduating.
Description: Quite short. She has soft brownish-blond hair and green eyes- her face looks older then it is. (i can find a photo if you like)

Personality: Naomi is the reserved type, but she isn't shy, if you understand what I mean. Around strangers she is defensive and isn't quick to make friends. Although she is not fond of strangers, she doesn't mind becoming their friend after she gets to know them really well. Around her friends, she likes to speak her mind and is the sarcastic type.

History: Born in Toronto, Canada, Naomi was only two years old when her parents went missing in the middle of the night. She was found in her house a few days later, hungry and crying out for her parents. A neighbor had called the police after a few days of hearing Naomi's cries. She was taken to her Grandmother's home just outside Toronto and was raised by her. When she turned eleven years old, she and her Grandmother moved to Layla's town and became resident's of the US (I'm assuming they live in the US) It took Naomi almost two years to learn English and became friends with Layla after sitting next to her in 7th grade math.

Fear: Naomi suffers from Monophobia, the fear of being alone, after her parents went missing and left her alone in the house for three days.

Personality: Damien is the type of person who could care less someone likes him or not. This doesn't mean that Damien is unlikable - he is actually quite a charming guy. He was outgoing and athletic in high school and still is, but has learned that those traits aren't the best for a dark magic user.

History: Damien grew up the average boy - signing up for the little league baseball team when he was eight years old. By the third game, he had gotten a nasty black eye and broken his wrist. Damien dropped out of baseball when he turned ten and his parents enrolled him into private school. The students made fun of him because he did not have as much money as the other kids, so he was suspended for causing a nasty fights in the hallways. Soon, he was enrolled into public school and found that he could relate to a lot of other kids at his school. He found a group of friends that were outgoing and athletic like him and they all join the football team in the eighth grade. Because of a nearly fatal car crash, Damien had to drop out of football in his Junior year and go through six months of physical therapy.

He never did finish his athletic career and joined the team of dark magic users when he graduated from high school. His current wife, Jane, is a nurse at the local hospital and that is where he met her when he had broken his foot a few years back. They got married and Jane is the only family member that knows about him joining the Dark Magic users.

Fear(s): Has Atychiphobia, the fear of failure.

RP Example:

Light slowly crept through the circular window above Amber Rodier's bed. The piercing sound of an alarm clock made her groan and she rolled over, smacking the top of the clock to make it shut off. She turned over again and covered her face with the pillow. The first day of school, what a chore. She could smell the familiar scent of coffee brewing downstairs and the creak of the air conditioner coming on and off. Amber pushed the covers off herself and crawled out of bed. She pulled on her new, red and tan tank top and dark skinny jeans. She grabbed some black socks and pulled on her new, converse sneakers. Opening the door to her bedroom, she felt a draft of cold air coming from the attic overhead and stepped into the bathroom.

She groaned again and brushed through her matted hair. Getting ready for school was defiantly not one of Amber's favorite things to do. After putting on her usual face of makeup, she grabbed her school ID - attached to a simple, white lanyard- and swung it over her neck. IDs were a rule at the school. Must be worn at all times on the school given lanyard. Amber rolled her eyes, thinking of what other stupid rules the school would come up with next.

Lunar Eclipse

Name: Agro (meaning to battle and slaughter)
Nickname: --
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Role: Leader of the dark magic users
Crush/Spouse: None (hes a sick flirt for now)

Personality: Agro is a sick and cruel person yet some say there is a very small reserved bit of kindness in him but so far its only a legend that all but few actually think is true. Agro loves to play with darkness and magic that makes people fear him as he is also a flirt with ladies but of course the women all hate him although he hasn't done anything really wrong to them. When hes calm its usually bone chilling, his anger isn't quick to flare although he gets irritated quickly and can have a snarling air about him, having an alpha wolf like touch to him how he leads his groups. When his mind is set on something he will do everything until he gets what he wants, and is rather smart for someone that loves to play with the darkness in his heart.

History: Not much is known about Agro's history except that they say he killed his parents using dark magic and didnt care, from then on just killing and in each attack a cruel twisted smirk would be spread on Agro's lips.

Fear(s): Nothing known so far (this will be revealed later >D)

Other: Besides using dark magic Agro uses long claw like blades that are fixed around his hands and wrists.
Roleplay Example:

Heavy boots echoed in the ally that a hooded figured walked down, shoulders were slumped and blond hair cast a sick shadow over the man's face. A cruel chuckle filled the ally that shook the man's shoulders, his walk was off from it and it looked like a demon had risen from the depths of hell itself. What was left behind in the man's wake was a fire that consumed an old building, what had happened in the building many people say all different things at the time but they do know that something was always off about that boy with his blond hair and his two different colored eyes that seemed so cold and empty with one blue and one green. Once the fires had died down and the boy was far away from the scene the figure stood in an ally were nobody knew him, and as he felt the darkness pull at him he slowly watched people and picked out the magic users, his eyes narrowing with smirk and he walked out onto the street and started a new life and new organization. The dark magic users.

(oof that was terrible i have such a writers block right now, but i hope that will do it for now. ^_^ and sorry about the anime picture XD lol )
