Two cats - one the descendant of Firestar, on the descendant of Scourge - have become what is forbidden; the best of friends. But as it starts evolving into something more, can they keep it hidden from their friends and kin?

Description: She looks like a female Firestar, basically. She has clear, green eyes and fiery fur. She is slim and short, which hides her strong muscles.

Description: a black and white piebald cat with icy blue eyes.

Adrenaline pulsed through Jadeheart's veins, sharpening the world around her. She stared at her apprentice, who was becoming a warrior tomorrow. His bushy, gray pelt was fluffed out further, blue eyes glinting in excitement. "Good, Dustpaw!" she called out. "Now strike!" The apprentice grinned, throwing himself at Jadeheart. She ducked, but his paws still caught her, bowling her over.

She purred with delight as she stared at Dustpaw, now standing over her, grinning widely. "You'll make a great warrior," she praised. "Now get off of me." Dustpaw stepped off of her, paws kneading the ground. "I can't wait to become a warrior! What do you think my warrior name will be? What if something goes wrong? What if I trip? What if the leader trips? What will I do?" Some of his excitement turned to apprehension and nervousness, and Jadeheart couldn't hide her small laugh. Dustpaw's eyes narrowed, but he wasn't that upset about her amusement.

"Everything will be fine," she assured him, touching his flank comfortingly with her fiery tail. Dustpaw smiled at his mentor, then bounded off to camp. Training finished, Jadeheart stretched her sore muscles. They had been sparring most of the morning, and it was almost sunhigh. She turned to trot back to camp, but stopped. She wasn't exactly ready yet, and besides, the prey pile was getting low. She turned, and padded into the forest instead to go hunting.

Panic growled and swiped the alley floor with one paw. He hated the lack of food around the alley at the moment. He Padded up to where his sister usually slept and gave sall grieving mew. She'd been on the last foraging party that had run afould of a large dog, And never come back. He didn;t like to think how his life would be now.He tried to remember the stories he'd heard as a kit, Stories of Scourge and he great battle for the forest. Again he skipped the ending, letting his imagination wander to a different conclusion.

Eventually, he padded out of the alley, After walking under a drain pipe which decided to pour all it load onto him, And walked up to he border of the forest. It was harder now, with new homes being built round there. But he hoped to get something out of a builders lunch. Maybe some meat or a biscuit, Anything to stop his roaring stomach. but as he approached what looked like pne of the boxes so many humans kept their food in (A trait which Panic had never worked out) An alighty kick hit his side with a yel of 'Darn cat nearly got my lunch!" And he went sprawling through the hedge and into the forst. Immediatly he froze, His sense going into overdrive. "This is bad this is bad this is bad" he repeated over and over again. He turned round but, try as he might, He couldn't find the opening he'd come through.

Jadeheart tensed as a new scent wafted towards her, carried on a breeze. She crouched down immediatly, fervently wishing her fiery pelt wasn't so obvious. She stalked towards the location the scent had come from, each muscle tense and ready for action. Whoever it was, it wasn't a Clan cat. It smelled of humans, but slightly different. Whoever it was, it was no kittypet.

Finally, she was close enough she could hear the other cat's breathing. She burst out of the bush, claws extended.

Panic Turned round ust as Jadepelt hit him and tumbled head over heels into a tree "What the?!"

Now on top of the cat, not much larger than she was, Jadeheart bent down. "What are you doing on Thunderclan territory?" she hissed. He didn't seem all that threatening though, and she didn't sound as menacing as she could have.

Panic tried to growl but it ccame out as mor eof a squeak "Get off me clan cat!" he spat angrily.

"Or what?" Jadeheart asked, almost mockingly. It was clear he wasn't in a position to do anything other han squirm.

"Or I'll bring the wrath of Bloodclan down on you!" squeaked Panic. It was probably the emptiest threat he'd ever told but he hope it wouldnwork, He pulled his head back to show her his spiked collar "See?"

"And Thunderclan would destroy you," Jadeheart retorted. "So, what are you doing on our territory?"

"It Was a mistake!" squeaked Panic "Some twoleg KICKED me rhroug here! It's not my fault"

Jadeheart could've easily ben suspicious, but saw the sincerity in her eyes. She got off of him, though her claws remained out and her green eyes were wary.
