Who else did the staring contest

I loved the first one, so I definitely want to see this. While this trailer was nice, I'd like future ones to be a tad more informative.

I'm definitely looking forward to this. It seems like a very decent sequel with great potential to be a success. (: The first film was very enjoyable and this one looks like it matches up to the same exact standards.

Saw it today. It was AWESOME Lord Shen was an enjoyable villain, vicious too. The pacing was great and I loved the movie.

Good god I hope not. This was one of those rare good sequels, but I'm not about to hold my breath expecting this much from any more.

---

Friday I was able to go see this, and I must say, it was very cute! Lord Shen was pretty awesome and a dynamic character. Plus, peacocks are awesome, and you don't see those much in movies! I loved the different elements of the movie, too. It wasn't like the first one as a pure comedy - it had different emotions. (Really, a few parts there made me tear up a little. ;;) And Tigress! I loved her in this one. Was nice to see she warmed up to Po some. :)

And the wolves? They actually sounded like wolves. That's always been a big pet peeve of mine, when there's a wolf that just doesn't sound like a wolf (ie: using a coyote howl instead). I didn't even care that they were the 'bad guys'. x] Just the fact they got the howl was good enough.

When I first saw that they were making a Kung Fu Panda 2 I thought it was going to be stupid. The first movie didn't need anything in my opinion. But it was cute - and that's much more than I had been expecting for sure.

I liked it a lot. I thought they did a great job with Po's flashbacks, and some good character development with Tigress. And Shen was a fantastic villain. I thought the whole thing was written very well. They left it very clearly and obviously open to a third movie, they didn't even bother trying to be subtle about it. But if it's as good as this one, I'm definitely going to see it.

If I had any complaints (which I don't really, I liked the movie a lot), it would just be that the rest of the Five had a lot less screen/voice time in this movie than the first one. This one was really mostly about Po, Tigress and Shen.

My predictions for the third movie in spoiler tags here:

Nice guess. Perhaps the over all theme (like having what you need inside of you for the first and breaking free of your past to find peace in the second) could be listening to your heart and not what others think of you Hidden text : click to show
. Maybe the villain be from a species that is demonized and come to see themselves that way, motivating their attacks, since the villain normally follows the theme. Could also have some connection with Tigress as well.

I've heard rumors though that the next films will each focus on one of the Five as secondary characters.
