Well let me start off by saying, don't you only need to include the icons of characters in the fan image section? Didn't steet himself say that wasn't meant for the fanart section in any means?
I tried to upload a few drawings onto one of the sources, and they were de-activated because they "did not feature the icons of the characters in them". They didn't contain any characters, though. They were simply wolves/dogs that I drew. I worked fairly hard on them as well. I remember perfectly clear that steet had said this rule was supposed to pertain to the Fan Image section only. I tried pming the mods who de-activated it, but they say it's part of the rules. I'm not sure I comprehend this right.
Did someone change the rules all of a sudden? Or is it a small confusion of Fan Images and Fan Art?

...that's not a rule. Clearly, some mods have got this mixed up, even though Steet has sent us a PM clearly stating that the only rules we must stick to are the ones on the page before you submit art.
This is a problem with the mods responsible, you should PM them. Then again, it could be the system lagging.

Every mod has their own set of rules, it's been that way for years. Getting anything up on the site is a cointoss depending on which mod's personal rule you break.

I've gotten the same message, I checked, it's not a rule.

Seriously guys. Get it together, this is getting frustrating and ridiculous to be told 50 diffrerent versions of the same non-existant rule.

It isn't a rule, like Sardonyx said. Steet recently sent out a MASS PM to all the mods clearing up the rule problems, but I guess no one wanted to obey that...And that is just disrespect to Steet.

I don't know what's so hard about following the instructions that have been provided...I DON'T have my own set of "personal" rules. I follow the set of rules that have been provided to me. (Even though I'm not a fanart/fan image mod. Still.)

I think part of the problem is I believe there is an AUTOMATED message that is sent if there are no character icons. Because I've noticed it's always the same exact message each time one doesn't have an icon feature.

I see the use if its an official character, because of the ratio rule. But it shouldn't be mandatory for original works. If the members don't want the art of the character featured to show up on the character page, that's their choice. Or perhaps the character doesn't even have a page.

Yeah, cause I knew it didn't say it in the rules, and the MASS PM should have said that as well, but... I'll try and pm the mod again and see what happens. I told them my point before and they said it's still apart of the rules... I'll try it again, though.



Well, maybe the same person deactivates them and just copies and pastes the reason why? I find it hard to believe since steet is the one who usually manages the automated messages and he didn't want the icons having to be apart of anything. I see what you're trying to say, though. It's possible.
