Don't know if this is rant really, any mod move if it'd fit in any other section.

On the Robin Hood Source (hurray!) I have been given the honor of being first ever image selection of the week!

I've never had any really successful works before so I wanted to hear you a bit more famouser (I know, not a word) opinions.

I have begun to see more and more "look alikes" or "copying" to my image. For example:

My image is a mix of five pictures, four in the background of sad screencaps from the movie. Then after a week or so, I saw more and more sad images popping up, mixing of sad citizens caps. I see this as a obvious attempt to be selection of the week. I don't mind one bit, I see it as flattering that someone would try and copy one of my works.

Is this just paranoia from my side or has others felt like this?

Totally no offence meant here for anything for I think you did a good job on the image; but collage type images aren't exactly the most original thing in the world. Sad/oppressed citizens and Robin Hood saving the day is pretty much one of the big themes in the movie. A lot of the images on RBS are probably going to end up being along that theme or something to do with Robin and Maid Marian.

Maybe it'd be better if you had links to back up your information? Because right now it doesn't give us much to say about it just going on words... Plus, my signature style has been copied a million times over after I created it, but I guess I tried to make myself believe it was common and I didn't know it before. Therefore, I made a new style that no one could even try and copy, one that wasn't common because I thought of all the different combinations of making them, and so far? No other signatures like that have popped up.

It may be paranoia or whatever, but honestly, if it is people copying, forget about them. There will always be people who are too uncreative to think of their own ideas and ways to do things, so we're just going to have to live with them for the time being.

As said before, it's not the most original thing around. But some people around here have issues with stealing others ideas. In my opinion, it gets pretty irritating; especially when you come up with a unique idea that no one has thought about, and suddenly someone copy's it. I can totally relate with you on this one.
