Not everyone has to like the same thing, and Balto is no exception. It's far from a perfect movie, and simply isn't some people's cup of tea. No reason to get upset over it.

I GUESS I JUST HAVE A STRONG OPINION. In fact I like Kingdom Hearts more than I like Balto. I don't mean to make anyone upset.

The only reason I even got upset with my friend is because he called me a looser for liking it.

As long as they have a good and valid reason for disliking it. (Something being a non-valid reason for disliking Balto would be something like "I hate it because it has wolves in it." That's just stupid. Something of a valid reason would be like "I dislike Balto because they ventured too far from the truth.") But it is annoying when they run around screaming "I HATE [enter movie/book/tv show here]!!!!ONEONEELEVEN111" If they hate it that much, good for them; but they really should learn to just keep it to themselves. (And that goes for any book/movie/whatever else). See, that's what I mean. I've seen people come on here and go out of their way to spread their dislike of Balto. Some even make it a career.

messergames: Please don't double post. Combine extra information into one post. No it doesn't upset me. They can dislike Balto all they want. What matters to me is that I like the movies.

Its really about whether they harrass you for liking the movie. I get flak for it, but playful flak, like everyone gets from their friends.
Now people coming here to spread their hatrid for Balto? obvious insecurity. Inferiority complexes can make people do some pretty crazy things. Those people who attack us are attacking us because they have nothing to be proud of. I belive they think they found some place where they can act like they are superior by age and maturity, a hope that we very quickly dash. Balto Source is predominated by an intelectual population, and the average age is 16, last time i checked. very few others end up fans of the film. Is there really anything to worry about? People only attack you if you are defensive. There is no reason to be defensive in a verbal assault. In a physical assault, I suggest all the defense you can muster, of course the chances of such a circumstance are quite low. Most of us will never be in that situation.
Most those that attack us are significantly below the average age here. I would estimate them between 10-12. Those preteen years tend to be full of insequrity and a need to prove oneself or at least prove onesself to be superior to someone else. I doubt anyone here went through such a phase, I never felt any need to prove myself in the social arena. I proved myself superior to those that attacked me throughout my childhood through logic and reason, something they tend to lack. The gift of logic escapes such assailents. When its used against them, they stand no chance. I've had "arguments" with such people before. I am always victorious, and usually within thee sentances. Attacks are only made by people who feel inferior and are trying to pull themselves up. Im no phycologist, but I have a lot of experiance with such situations, having gone through the EXACT same thing Balto did in the first film, and now watching my little brother go through it too. Really though, is there any reason to be defensive? Balto's retiqual continued because he was defensive, against Boris's urgings, and as irrelivant as that may seem, its really true. Being Defensive in verbal assault is the worst thing you can do. Those that attack us are obviously harmless. Its not like any of US are going to stop being Balto fans because someone claimed that it was stupid or childish.
Again, others preferances are not our business, we have no reason to care unless they attack our fanship in preticular, which seems to be what you ment.
