I thought you were talking about the original one too...
To think that the original one was re-released in theaters in France in 2003...and I missed that, because I didn't know about Balto at that time... And it's the only country in the world where they had re-released it in theaters...
I don't know if I would want to see Balto 2 in theaters though, because of all the bloopers and bad animation...But, I would still go, because it's Balto and I would like to hear how the soundtrack sounds in theaters.

Yea i'd probably go and see it, but i'd prefer if the original came to cinema not Wolf quest.

Topic moved. Please be more careful when posting topics. Thanks.
I'd go see it, even though I saw it in theaters when it first came out. It'd be neat to see it on a big screen again.

I would ABSOLUTELY see Balto1 again. It would sound so...so...there are no words to describe it!!! But if they were showing wolfquest...if I even went to see it, I would hold my ears when the music came on. It stunk!! Sorry, but I really hated wolfquest...the only thing that kept me watching was the fact that I got to see what Balto and Jenna's pups looked like. But for me it ruined what balto was about...I mean...totally morphed what it was all about into this...story about Balto having pups. I only wish they would re-realease Balto1 into theaters.

Too bad you can't turn back time. Hmm but my friend has a projector and screen. Perhaps through a setup like that one day I could watch it in a pseudo-cinema environment... Not on the same scale though sadly
Welcome to BaltoSource, sai!!
Well, there was nothing I could do that woud've made me see Balto in theares at the time it came out. But the ticket stub would be something I'd cherish to the grave. I was way to young to understand what would be going on.

Thank you very much Suka
So you didn't see it either? Aww. But I guess we can take solace in that we found it at all due to how this gem seemed to fall to obscurity (when it should be hailed as a classic).
I believe it was released in 1995 so I was 10 years old. I was old enough to go etc. and I think I may of known it was on but I don't know why I didn't go. As I say, I probably just didn't know what I was missing. When I rented it though I loved it.
I keep cinema tickets too. Although not in an organized sense

It's even worse in my situation : I've lost this occasion TWICE...Because it was re-released in theaters in France in 2003, the ONLY country where it was re-released...And I didn't see it, because at the time, I didn't even know what Balto was...
And yet, I was also 10 years old when it was released, and at the time I was an animation fan. Although I didn't hear about it...That's one of the reasons I'm angry with Universal. This should have never happened. They HAD to get the people interested to see it. They made no efforts since the very start. Oh yes, I'm repeating myself, see the petition topic...

If the original Balto was re-released in theatres in Australia, Worldwide for that matter, I would definately go and see it atleast once, but knowing how much I love it I'd probably watch it again two or three times. It would really great to get the whole cinematic feeling of it. I hope they do, because more people will learn about the legend that is Balto.

Sorry to hear that steetboris.
It's probably a lot to ask that it gets a mainstream re-release in cinemas, like with the France thing, a limited release is probably the only option. Perhaps even only in small art or independant cinemas (whateevr they're called). However I would probably miss it again unless I managed to find out beforehand and if it wasn't released locally. (I like Japanese animation but most of that seems to only get very limited releases unless its a Studio Ghibli production backed by Disney or a new merchandising craze series So I keep missing catching them on the big screen.)
