Her mission is to rescue; her hope, is that one day she won't have to.
Pitbulls and Parolees is following Tia Torres, her children, and the parolees that run
Villalobos Rescue Center (VRC), the largest pitbull rescue center in the country. She's giving people a chance when many others won't to save a breed almost everyone misunderstands. VRC usually has anywhere from 150-200 or more dogs, all of which are pitbull and pitbull mixes.
This amazing show is coming back to Animal Planet for a new season on October 30 (Saturday). And I, for one, am
very excited! Being a sucker for both dog rescue shows (
Pit Boss and
Last Change Highway being two of them) and a huge pitbull lover, this show is perfect. It really is amazing to see how much they door for the breed when many others simply don't care. (On the last episode Tia talked about a pit/lab puppy that had been hit by a car only to have everyone drive right past it as it lay in the road).
