I brought this up in the Time Travel episode thread, but felt it was important to consider. What is our range of stuff on episodes here? Like how light or how dark should we be able to go? I know clearly we won't get a pure 'dark and gritty' episode, but likewise, I think it'd be helpful to know more about how lighthearted and how dark we can, still keeping in the style of the show, get. Certain ideas we have so far would be better devoloped if we know our limits, for example, the time travel episode, if there ended up being a 'bad future' as a result, how bad would it get? Or the 'Mollyzilla' episode, how lighthearted would we want to go with it?

I just felt this is something important to consider.

I think we aim at respecting the original show, as much as possible.

Which means : it shouldn't be too light-hearted (no story in which everyone's happy and everything's pink, it's not Noddy...I have read fanfics which were like that, with no "problematic situation" in the whole story...AWFUL!)

But it shouldn't be too violent / dark either (No serial killer murdering people by cutting their heads in Cape Suzette, with bloody descriptions and such...) Which doesn't mean you can't talk about (or even show) death. In fact, the original show used to talk a lot about death, if you notice carefully...

It's also very important to show that the characters fear the danger, when they're put in a dangerous situations.

To summarize : it should be something that can appeal to everyone. Something Disney...(or what Disney used to do anyway)

That's about what I expected.

Main reason, if the one who originated the idea gives me permission, I wouldn't mind making a full plot for the 'time travel' idea, and one of the big things I'm debaiting is how bad the 'bad future' would end up.

Would a 'dark' episode be acceptible? Within the peramitors you've given, just an episode that would be a bit dark in corlation to a normal episode.

No offense, but I think we should put the new scripts aside from now, because we already have a pilot and a "Mollyzilla" project that we should focus on (and which will be MUCH work)
Of course you can still give ideas and write fanfics if you want to!

As for the "dark" question, I already replied to that.
