Oh dang. The next generation is comming!! I, myself, don't own an XBox 360, but I heard some of them are being recalled. Apparently, the system overheats, and can be a huge fire hazard. Also, it tends to warp the disks. On another note, it uses up so much electricity that it can potentially add an average of $35 to your electric bill EVERY MONTH!!

Contrarily, I hear the graphics card is wonderous. The games are getting better and better. Can XBox's head start be enough to surpass the comming of its greatest competitor?

Sony hasn't yet come out with the PS3 (obviously), so I don't know much about it. Rumor has it that Sony purposefully let XBox 360 come out first so anything wrong with it can be fixed with PS3. PS2 survived ONLY because it was backwards compatible. I hope the release games for PS3 will be enough...

So what do you guys think?

I don't either one I only have a PS2, PS1, and GBA

if XBox 360's come out at $400, then how much do you think the PS3 will be?

I think it's way too early for the next generation consoles.
We don't know anything about the PS3, and the Xbox360 was so much rushed that it has really nothing impressive, lots of problems, it's expensive, and they plan to make a new version with HD DVD for next year...
PS3 will most likely have the same problems in the first years.
Revolution is on another plan, it should also be interesting to see how it turns out.
So, I would say : wait & see, to everyone. Get the current consoles and games, unless you're an hardcore gamer there is really no need for these consoles before a few years.

It looks quite good.

X-BOX 360 are much more graphic and more realistic then PS3's. They are so much better plus they have a hard drive in them so it takes no time to load, thye dont have to have a memory card in them either because they have a hard drive. It is a DVD and a Burner thats why they are really good. I don't have one but I would like to but they are so expensive and good to have, it's gonna be pretty hard to get one around here.

I think the reason why they rushed in the making of the XBOX 360 is because Christmas was coming..and they knew they could make alot of money...My friend has an XBOX 360 and he said that if you play for like an hour it overheats and you have to turn it off for a while. That would suck..I'm glad I didn't get one, because I was almost going to...XD...I want to get a PS3 because they look cool, and they can play PS2 games, and PS2 has the most games..

Then, I'll probally say PS3 would get the most money.

My aunt went out and got two 360s, one for her kid and one for one of her friends. She got 1/3 the stock! But Like I said a long time ago, the 360 will be rushed and will have problems, most of the time when they rush something they will have problems. Completly wrong. I don't see what makes you think that Xbox 360 "is more graphic" than PS3, we haven't seen any game running for PS3 yet, and PS3 is said to be more powerful or at least as much powerful.
The hard drive in the Xbox360 is an option, which makes that no game uses it other than for saving. And there are memory cards, for the ones that have no hard drive.
It is only a DVD, no burner. Just a reader. And a simple DVD reader, just like PS2 or Xbox. While PS3 will have a next generation of discs, the Blue ray.
They haven't sold that much of that console for now, don't be fooled by thinking "if there's no stock, it means people are buying it a lot so it's good, then rush and buy it before it's too late". That's exactly what Microsoft has in mind to make you buying it, and that's also what Sony did with the PS2 and will do for the PS3.

True, there's a big chance it will have a few problems. I'm planning to get a PS3, since they have Metal Gear Solid 4 and a few other good games.

Nintendo revolution, on the other hand, looks like a TV remote.

Yeah, and you have to buy a chip to play DVD's on the XBOX...And you can download games onto it, but you need to get another chip..and it sucks because if your XBOX breaks, then you can't get it fixed because the chip is illegal. I'm not sure about 360's though..and PS2's, you don't really need chips, except the memory card..XD

I'm not really interested in either XBox 360 or the PS3. The main reason is because Microsoft and Sony are making their consoles too much like a computer. The other is because of money. Even if I did have a good paying job, I wouldn't spend 300-500 dollars on a console.
