This is in honor of both the 2012 resurrection of Godzilla by Legendary Pictures and due to me wanting to do something special for the Halloween season. This is inspired by the 'Lost Project' Godzilla vs. Deathla/Godzilla 3D to the Max, which was supposed to be the second American Godzilla film, but failed due to lack of funds. Anyway, enjoy!
Plot: 56 years ago, the monster Godzilla ravaged Tokyo and killed hundreds, if not thousands, leaving Japan’s capital a sea of fire, before being killed by the Oxygen Destroyer. But that faithful day it was surmised that, with mankind’s gross misuse of nuclear weapons, Godzilla couldn’t be the only one of his kind.
In modern day, a planet scientists purposed long having life is suddenly discovered to have died, mysteriously overnight. As scientists contemplate what has transpired, a group of scientists and tourists visiting Iguaza Falls, in South America, witness the cause first hand. A swarm of skeletal locust-like monsters descend from the sky, destroying plant-life at a rapid pace. As the humans watch in horror, the locusts’ feeding disturbs something. A second Godzilla, having been sleeping soundly underground, is awakened from hibernation by the space monsters. Sensing a threat, the locusts merge into the towering Deathla, a skeletal alien monster and the two begin an epic struggle for the fate of the Earth itself. This is where our story begins, and we’ll see it through to the end.
Rules:
Godzilla and Deathla are the only monsters in this RP, I’m playing Godzilla.
There are three other groups in this RP, scientists studying the monsters, civilians caught in harms way but wanting to see the event through to the end, and the military trying to kill both Godzilla and Deathla. The civilians can be in one of three places the RP will go to, the original group at Iguaza Falls, another at Mexico City, and the final group Las Vegas. Their main goal is to follow the kaiju, though their reasons for doing so vary from person to person. Their main action is trying to survive as the city is destroyed ether by Deathla or in the ensuing battle. The scientists wish to monitor the two kaiju and try to figure out what’s going on, like the civilians, they also end up caught in the damage of the kaiju’s assault. The military are the most action filled group, being they’re actively fighting the kaiju. If you want to be in the fight after Deathla is taken, this is your best bet.
Subplots are not only fine, they’re encouraged, so long as they don’t totally high jack the RP.
This is only connected to the original Godzilla film, but loosely, if you’ve never seen it, don’t worry.

Deathla: A space monster with the ability to transform into a swarm of skeletal locust-like creatures. It resembles a massive skeletal creature with red skin seemingly rotting off its bones. Has an exposed human-like skull and bone spikes going down its back. Has tentacle-like arms and can fire heat rays from its eyes. Also produces the Locust-like creatures, which will be a threat to the civilians and scientists. Goal is to devour plant-like till it wipes out all life on Earth.:

Personality: Kind, sees things with an open mind, understands all things have a place in the world, even Godzilla.
History: A biologist that came to South America to study wildlife, but he ended up witnessing not only the arrival of Deathla, but Godzilla’s awakening. While he believes all life on Earth, even Godzilla, has a purpose, he knows Deathla is the bane of life and must be destroyed.

History: A college student that traveled to South America for research, only to witness Godzilla and Deathla’s appearance. She now wants to see it through to the end, both to help save people and to write her research paper on the two kaiju.
