This RP is a journey through Hoenn (Think, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald) mainly in the style of the games. It WILL be starting from the beginning!

Name: Gray
Physical Appearance: Average size, smooth black hair. Mainly wears a cap that looks like an ultra ball and a shirt with a Master Ball on it.
First Pokemon: Treecko

Gray frowned as he looked at his bedroom in Littleroot Town. Everything was there. And that was the problem. With a Wii in the corner, a flat-screen TV, a mountain of Pokemon Trading Cards, a PC that had copies of all his storage--how did he leave it?
Professor Birch had told him to come to his lab today, and you knew what was coming if you were late. Professor Birch's son, Brandon, already grown up, was killer with a Mightyena.
So, how do you leave this behind? The young teenager frowned. He took a thumb drive and downloaded all of his files onto it. Next, he took a memory card and downloaded all of his game progress onto it from the Wii. That would be a start...

Name: Jacie
Nickname: Jay (prefers to be called this)
Physical Appearance: Jay has long, dark hair that is often braided away from her face. She has inquisitive green eyes, and a few freckles on her face that blend into her tan, gained from many hours underneath the sun. She is tall, and around average in terms of weight.
First Pokemon: Mudkip

Jay was already at Gray's house, wondering impatiently whether to knock or not. She had gotten up before the sun, unable to sleep. A small backpack was slung across her shoudler, one strap dangling uselessly from it. The other supported the weight of the bag, along with the supplies inside. Her green eyes flashed as she came to a decision; she was unable to wait any longer.
Even if Gray probably wasn't ready.
She raised her fist, and knocked on the door, the solid thunk echoing through the still morning air.

(Hope you don't mind I replied. Think of it as an example...if I'm accepted, just have Gray react to this. If not, just ignore.)

First Pokemon: Riolu
Other: He didn't get the pokemon from Professor Birch, but rather found it in the bushes

Aaron had literally just stepped out of his house after hugging his parents goodbye when he heard something ruffling in the bushes. He tilted his head and looked at the bushes, unsure of what to think. He had to get to Professor Birch's lab, quick. Today was the day they were all supposed to get their starter pokemon. He sighed and headed towards the ruffling brush, letting his curiosity get the best of him.

What he saw, he couldn't believe. It was a riolu in the brush. This pokemon was so rare, it was almost impossible to find one. And here the blonde haired teenager was, stumbling upon a baby one by accident. It looked like it had just cracked out of its egg because Aaron could see bits and pieces of the broken shell. "This is awesome!" he said with excitement. Usually, when you found a riolu, it actually belonged to someone already, being they were so rare. But with this egg just left behind, he knew he could keep it.

He quickly grabbed the small pokemon and hid him in his jacket. The small creature gave no fight. It actually rested in his jacket pocket, soothingly sleeping. It seemed to like the unsure teen.

Aaron looked around once more before bumping into Gray and Jay once in the lab.

OOC: You're both accepted...but, Poison_Kiss, I said that you needed to start with a starter Pokemon...THEN we'll find a Trainer abandon his Eevee later. Could you change that? Also, Windancer is at Gray's door, not Professor Birch's... and Hunter, sorry for not posting it, but I'm done accepting. Sorry. I talked to Windancer and Poison_Kiss earlier, and arranged to do this.

BIC: Gray looked at his bag. It had been surprisingly easy to pack his stuff once he decided that less was more. He had a tent and three changes of clothes, as well as the Potion he had gotten for his birthday last week. For reasons unknown to him, the Professor had waited until today to announce their Pokemon Handling Test results. The PHT's determined what your future as a Pokemon Trainer was. As Gray remembered the system, it was a system of percentiles. The system was:
0-29: Your journey's over before beginning. Get a job at a Pokemart or help out at a Daycare.
30-59: Stay home, and after a year of studying, retake the PHT's.
60-74: Become a Wandering Trainer (a trainer that does not recieve a 1st Pokemon from Birch). Your privelages are reducted from a normal Trainer's--you are not allowed to challenge a gym or the Elite Four.
75-79: Become a Wandering Trainer. You are authorized to become a Gym Trainer (a Trainer that stands around in a gym).
80-94: Become a full-fledged Pokemon Trainer. You are authorized to recieve a Pokemon from your local Pokemon Professor and take on the Gym Challenge, and challenge the Elite Four.
95-99: Become a full-fledged Pokemon Trainer. You have the same privelages, plus you are allowed to enroll in a college, being trained to become a Gym Leader, a Pokemon Rancher, or a similar job.
Gray was sure he had made between a 95 and a 99. To be a Pokemon Rancher was his dream. Pokemon Ranchers were basically Day Care people, but they were strong Pokemon Trainers themselves, and knew much more than regular Day Care runners.
There was a knock at the door. Ilac opened it up to see Jay and Chase standing there. "Hi," he said. "Today's the big morning for you too?"

So... I'm not accepted, right? Mk then.

Jay nodded quickly, her green eyes sparking with anticipation. "Yep," she replied. "You ready to go?" Judging from the bags he had, it was likely he was. But it was polite to ask anyways. She didn`t bother asking Chase, mainly because her friend wouldn`t be standing next to her if she wasn`t ready.

An unexpected growling came from her stomach, and she grinned sheepishly as she realized in her haste she had forgotten to eat. She quickly reached into her pocket, eating the granola bar inside. She wiped the crumbs onto the ground, stuffing the wrapper into her pocket. She could throw it away later.

"C'mon," said Gray. "Let's go--I don't want to see Brendan and his Mightyena if we're late." He shouldered his bag and walked out, leading the small group across the small town. As they walked, he said, "So what do you think? Do you think you got a score that you can become a full-fledged Trainer?"

OOC: The correct answer is yes. For those of you who didn't know, I made up all this stuff in the RP "Wandering Trainers". It's all the stuff about those trainers who just stand around. And by the way, most if not all of the towns and stuff will be much bigger than in the games.

"I sure hope so," Jay replied, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear; she hated when it got loose from her braid and went into her face. "I would love to become a Pokemon Rancher," she added, excitement growing stronger in her green gaze. She looked at Chase. "What do you think you got?" she asked curiously. She squinted as her gaze looked in the direction they were heading. "I see the lab," she announced, her heart beginning to pound in anticipation.

OOC: Ha, a Trainer after my own heart. I technically made up "Pokemon Rancher" from My Pokemon Ranch.

BIC: "Yeah, what do you think you got?" asked Gray.

"Which starter do you want?" asked Gray. "I call dibs on Treecko, if I become a full-fledged Trainer." They reached the lab and entered.

"Good morning, you three," said Professor Birch.

"Good morning, Professor," said Ilac.

Jay nodded a little in greeting, a smile forming on her face. "Morning," she said, echoing both Ilac and Chase. Her green eyes still glinted with excitement, and her body was tensed in anticipation. She found her dingers tapping random rhythms on her thigh as she waited anxiously to hear what she made.
