Ok, I'm sure some source members, (who live in Louisiana) might of heard of Tony! The Tuck stop tiger. While this does seem cool, (Visit a truck stop, meet a tiger!) is this the right thing to do? No.
Big Cat Rescue posted some videos about this, for more detailed information.

(Extra link in case video does not display, click here)

Even if you cannot send or donate, You can send a letter to Louisiana goverment to voice your opinion.

---
I believe those owners are being selfish, even if it means they are making money, I don't think the Tiger should have to suffer.

That is disgusting. =| Poor Tony! In my opinion it doesn't even seem something cool in the least bit, a tiger isn't something you're supposed to be able to see at a truck stop.

If a freaking human wouldn't want to live like that why do the low-lives believe a tiger should? Is the government of Louisiana that messed up to allow this crap? -.- The people that think this is okay sicken me.

I hope that poor excuse for a truckstop gets shut down at some point in the near future and Tony be given the chance to enjoy life and not be some display animal. =|

I really don't think any animal should be in a cage. Zoos animals look so depressed, unwilling, walking back and forth, without stop.

And to hear this, wow a tiger at a truck stop? Why, really....uncalled for.

I don't mean to offend anyone who lives in the USA but this is exactly why I loathe the wild animal laws in the US. It's ridiculous. :/
I hate the fact anyone with enough money can just buy a wild animal and keep it as it pet. Everything from tigers and lions to giraffes and zebra. It's just ridiculous. The laws about owning wild animals are just not strict enough, over here in the UK you need a licence to own wild animals and to gain one a proper vet and expert to check the facilities you have for keeping the animal(s) and a pen like Tony is stuck in would never be acceptable.

Wild animals are not pets and are not to be exploited for personal gain of anyone. It's just sick that this is allowed to continue.
I hope they can rescue Tony and give him a proper home for the rest of his years. <3

I think in the video, they have a chance In December, if they get enough support from people to show that they do not want Tony locked up.

Agree 100%
I think people don't really think xD They don't quite understand what it actually takes to take care of a wild animal. There are a few though that treat them well, we need more people like that.

Unfortunately the bad outweigh the good. =__=;
You just can't keep an animal like a wild cat in a concrete cage and most of these cages are tiny, especially when you consider how huge these animal's natural territories are.
I do however think the animal rescue groups in the USA are wonderful how they rescue all of these unwanted exotic and dangerous pets.

That's another problem, actually, most of these animals are very dangerous; they can and do kill people while they're in captivity and it only leads to problems.

Thanks for posting the info about Tony The Truck Stop Tiger. I'm one of many involved in trying to help relocate Tony to an accredited big cat sanctuary. If anyone would like to "take action" for Tony, visit this link from Big Cat Rescue of Tampa FL where you can voice your objections to the renewal of the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries permit to Tiger Truck Stop. http://www.capwiz.com/bigcatrescue/issues/alert/?alertid=19391501&type=ML Please contact me if you'd like any further information about Tony.

Thanks for caring about him.

FOR TONY

Animals are better off living in a proper zoo than in Tony's condition. At a zoo, animals can get their proper diet, they have the correct living conditions and they can live longer in captivity than in the wild. Sure kids make noise sometimes, but they don't produce pollution and danger the animals' health, so what's the harm of having a few kids around? If the terrain is big enough for the animal then they won't pace around. If it meets their conditions then they're happy.

Tony doesn't look happy to me. :/ And since it is December, I want to know what the government has decided.
