Hello all, I used to be an active poster on this forum back in 2005-2007. I noticed that my good friend JerseyCaptain came back, so I thought I would do so as well.
For those that do not know me, I got into the Balto fandom back in May 2003. Although I had seen Balto as a kid in 1995, I never tried to find the Balto fandom until I watched Wolf Quest on Memorial Day (US) 2003. Little did I know how that fateful day would change my life around. You see, prior to that day, I was afraid of dogs. The breed or size of the dog did not matter to the point that even a Boston terrier would scare me. That all changed when I started researching dog and wolf behavior so that I could roleplay a Siberian husky on The Balto League (TBL) yahoo group. Back then, TBL, along with Silver_Huskey's The Icy Boards, were the main social sites of the Balto fandom. TBL had, and still does, a chat where fans could socialize, roleplay, and generally have fun.
As of result of my research, I became of fan of the sport of mushing. Little did I know that that I would become a hardcore mushing fan whom is glued to the computer screen every March. Following the Iditarod was like a two-week vacation for me. I actually drove a dog team in December 2005 and went to my first race in February 2006.

Welcome back to AS... even though I never knew you. Glad to see that Balto helped you overcome your fear of dogs.

Hello iWolf and Lydia Deetz. Its nice to meet new people. iWolf, I have been reading your Balto fanfiction for some time now and I must say I am quite impressed with how your writing is progressing. In your early works, there were not any transitions into and out of the flashbacks and I felt that I was reading two separate stories every chapter. Your newer works, however, smoothly transition from present to past or vice versa and have a very cohesive feeling to them. I hope you have enjoyed writing these works as much as I have enjoyed reading them. I look forward to your next work
