Movie : Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Synopsis : Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort's immortality and destruction -- the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart. Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort's Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted one as the Death Eaters search for Harry with orders to bring him to Voldemort...alive. Harry's only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Voldemort finds him. But as he searches for clues, he uncovers an old and almost forgotten tale -- the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Voldemort the ultimate power he seeks. Little does Harry know that his future has already been decided by his past when, on that fateful day, he became "the Boy Who Lived." No longer just a boy, Harry Potter is drawing ever closer to the task for which he has been preparing since the day he first stepped into Hogwarts: the ultimate battle with Voldemort. (from {here}).

I cannot even begin to say how excited I am for this movie! Every time I see a preview for it at the theaters the room always goes completely silent. And every time I watch the preview I just get goosebumps.

I can't remember the last time - if ever - I was looking forward to a movie this much. (I was very eager for RE: Afterlife to come out, but even that wasn't as much as it is for HP 7 ;;). At first when I heard it was being split into 2 parts I was kinda disappointed, but I'm really happy about it now. Hopefully that'll mean they stuck really close to the book and it'll be even more amazing.

The last book was my favorite...right after the first one, anyways.

I'm really excited to see it when it comes out. I really hope they don't change too many details...I love how they mainly keep to the story in these movies. They usually don't do it that much, nowadays.

Im looking forward to seeing this movie too. Im not sure if it'll be good or not. So far they've done okay with the movies. I mean, as far as telling the story. The special effects in the films and the detail they go into with the sets have been stunning. But, you gotta keep bear it in mind that movie adaptations of books almost never live up to the reputatation of the book. They've split this one up into two parts so hopefully they manage to get it but we'll see. From the trailers is looks promising.

Agreed. For the most part 3D sucks and is only used for the "wow" factor. Most of the time the story can be told better in 2D. And I'm looking forward to this movie too, I'm a big fan of the HP movies.

Went to see it today and my first impression after leaving the theater was "amazing doesn't begin to cover it." This is by far the best Harry Potter movie. They hardly left anything out of the book and even fixed something they missed in Half-blood Prince. It was literally the book coming to life, going above and beyond my expectations. The movie is about two and a half hours long but it doesn't seem like it at all it was so good. And the score? Brilliant.

The first part had me laughing, crying, and everything in between. (If you've read the book you know why. ;D) The actors were just amazing as always. You really feel for the characters.

And the ending was a complete cliff-hanger, especially if you haven’t read the books! I'd give this movie a 10/10 for sure.

I saw it today, it was amazing. And personally, I'm glad it was split into 2 parts. It allowed them to space out the story and include more details from the books. If anything, a lot of the other movies feel rushed compared to this one. Really good.

I saw it last night and it blew me away. The pacing was perfect, and the best part was that I was the only one in my family who'd read the seventh book, so I'm the only one out of us that knows how it's going to end.

Can't wait for part two next summer, and even though that part will be in 3D, I think I'll pass on that option and see it how it's supposed to be seen.

I'm sorta excited for the 3D part lol. I all ready know I'll be going at least twice, so maybe one of those two times I'll see it in 3D.

I agree about the pacing, though! Top movie by far. God, and I just love Fred & George. xD

Yea. It's not a spoiler of any kind. If you saw the 6th movie, you might have noticed the letter in the locket from the mysterious R.A.B. was left out. There's a scene in this movie where they're reading it.

[Since this was only on the second page I'm just bringing the topic back up opposed to making a new one].

Well, part two of this epic adventure comes out THIS Friday! I cannot even begin to describe exactly how excited I am for this movie. Yet at the same time I'm rather sad seeing as I grew up with Harry Potter. (When the first book came out I was only six). The previews make it look just fantastic - which I have no doubt it will be. Heck, I dislike 3D, but this is one that actually looks worth it to see in 3D!

If you don't like Harry Potter... you're going to be missing out on something good. As Fred & George say - I solemnly swear that I am up to no good. <3
