Personality: Kaya is gentle and kind by nature, though she does have her frustrated moments. She tends to be impatient at times, but is willing to
wait if it is imperative. She is loyal, and will immediatly gravitate to a possible friend. She trusts most anyone, and will continue to do so until it is proven to her that the trust was misplaced. She does day-dream alot, but when she isn't lost in thought, she is talkative. Her mind can be flighty, and she'll change subjects randomly in a conversation frequently.
Kaya is courageous when it comes to standing up for what she believes in, and is one of those rare souls that doesn't care what others think of her. She'll take the blame for something if one of her friends is in trouble, and is willing to sacrifice almost anything for them. She doesn't think she's brave, but won't back down from things anyway. She is curious, though she has the sense not to run into things blindly.
History: Kaya was born in a small litter on the outskirts of town. Her father was a stray, while her mother was a pedigree show dog who had a pampered, easy life. Her father was a wandering type, and left soon after Kaya and her two brothers and younger sister were born. Her mother grew to regret having them; they were the off-spring of a mutt, afterall. She left them in the streets when they were still too young to care for themselves, having recently just opened their eyes.
A young girl stumbled upon them, and brought one of her brothers and her sister home, leaving Kaya and her remaining brother alone. The brother that stayed with her was the runt, and soon died of the cold; it was the dead of winter at the time. Kaya was all alone, and was found by an elderly lady sometime later. She was unable to take care of the young, weak pup herself, due to poverty, and turned her over to the shelter.
Kaya was taken care of, but she lived basically her whole life in that shelter, with occasional visits from the elderl lady who had first found her. She became friends with Ash, Shadow, Blaze, Kaihlen, Bailey, and Celtic soon after, and was adopted with them as well.

Appearence: Kaya's legs are slightly longer than usual, giving her an advantage in running. She is slender, like all Whippets, and has deep, sensitive brown eyes. Her fur is mainly a golden color, with white near the face, chest, stomach, and a little on the paws and inside of her legs.
