How to (NOT) Exit Out of an Argument You are Losing
This is not a step-by-step process, more like guidelines to observe.
#1: Tell your opponent that you have better things to do. (Even though you actually don't. If it's anything short of going to school or going to work, tending to your family, or entertaining a hobby, you really don't.)
#2: Deny your opponent's status as a human being. (Because anything non-human can't argue with you, thus you win the argument immediately.)
#3: Tell them that they have no life, and they need to get a job. (All the while you are sitting at the computer at your workplace arguing with the "idiot", while you should be doing your job.)
#4: Tell them they are worthless. (While you go crying to your friends about how this loser on the internet dared to argue with you, all the while you fail to realize that the argument you were having with him is actually more helpful to your intellectual development than your friends are or ever will be.)
#5: Start correcting their small amount of grammatical mistakes. (When you easily have triple the amount of grammatical screw-ups in your own posts.)
#6: Say your laptop battery is on low. (You are on your home desktop.)
#7: Tell them to cite their sources in order to garner support from passing members of the forum who happened to read your argument. (Even though the sources really aren't needed because they are reciting common knowledge, in which the joke is on you for A) not knowing it, and B) for trying to stall.)
#8: Insult their mother. (Don't insult people's mothers, especially when losing an argument.)
#9: Call them out on using Wikipedia to cite their sources. (When Wikipedia is actually accurate for factual and objective material, when objective and factual material is what they were trying to reinforce.)
#10: Recite Duke Nukem quotes. (You can do this. Even if it contradicts things already established in this list. Who cares? It's Duke Nukem.)
#11: Tell him you need to go play Starcraft II. (Gg.)
Now of course, we are all guilty of some of these.
