The story:

There is a place that sits in the midst of all time and space. It connects every world there is or has been. It's only physical manifestation is of portions of those worlds, all jumbled together to get vastly different terrains connected together in various ways. Because of this, many different creatures, humanoid and non, can be found all over the worlds and are often seen cohabiting together. Magic and other aspects of the fantastic are very much present along with modern technology, and it would not be altogether unreasonable to see a dragon turning into a human and then searching the internet for the nearest club.

But we won't focus on many of the other beings found here - our interests will lay primarily with the wolves.

Wolves of the Nexxus are special - gifted with abilities of the arcane (and sometimes of other origin), they also have tended to become more like man than they'd like themselves to believe. They are sophisticated, typically know several languages with which to converse with other intelligent creatures, and their packs are not made of only one mating pair with most other members being their children. Instead there are many mating pairs, though the ruling Alphas (or whatever they refer to the top rank as) may decide whether mating will be allowed. Despite being very human-like, there is no general governing system in place - laws are pack-based. The only universal law is that humans (and most other creatures) must not be trusted or allowed admittance into any pack.

One family calling themselves the Astral pack, took it upon themselves to enforce this rule. They recruited and accepted only the toughest wolves or those with the most unique gifts into their ranks. Originally their idea was to unify the packs and act as protectors to the weaker. They developed a process by which they would become fully an Astral wolf when they participated in the process known as 'Astraling,' when their power and physical prowess would increase dramatically. In this way, the Astral wolves became their own species of wolf, thereby separating them from the other species of the Nexxus.

Hispeth, the Alpha female of the pack, and her mate Zhivel soon became corrupt in their lordship over the other wolves. They started believing they were better than the rest, and their pack with them, because they were more powerful. They started making other laws the packs had to follow and mandated that all mating seasons be regulated according to when theirs was, so that they could monitor and control the population. Any who did not submit to their will were crushed like daisies into the ground.

Most packs took their rule, fearing upsetting what little balance had been made as well as an end to their own families. Many were unhappy, but kept silent. And even though most of the members of the Astrals agreed with this method of doing things, some were not happy with the way things were turning out. And it continued that way for some time.

But times are changing. There's a scent of revolution on the wind, and one wolf is determined to bring about an end to the tyranny and restore the natural balance of things. Her name: Asphodel Al Ellisande

The rest of the plot and the total direction it will be headed in are currently in flux about my head. I'm leaving it largely open with only a minimal idea of where I would like it to head to give it the maximum advantage for creativity from all sides. This means that I want active participation from all players, and should you have an idea for the main plot, or for a sub plot, PLEASE feel free to share it with me! ^.^ I don't bite, and this doesn't have to go exactly my way. If it does start to go in a direction that may lead to boredom, or I just don't think it will be as fun for everyone, I will try to change it up, but I may need help.

The Characters:

You may create your own characters using the form below or you may apply for one of the characters that needs to be filled. Should some of the more important roles not find suitable players, I will play them until such time as a suitable player can be found. Those who wish to play either Zhivel (I will play him for now) must fill out the form and pm it to me. You may make up anything about them and change their names, just be sure to set their species as 'Astral wolf'. Please include a sample post with this! The person who makes them in a manner that I like most will be awarded the role. For the moment you may have no more than 2 characters. Also, you may create a non-wolf character, though you must have at least one wolf character. You may make up a species (just give me a good idea what the species would be like) use the general Elemental wolf species (for elemental powered wolves) or use the Dreamweaver wolf species I created (details here). Also, if you'd like your character to be in Asphodel's pack, please make them a loner first . I'd like all introductions and such to happen in rp.

Age: A decade or so. She is still rather young by most standards.
Scent: Smells like sulfur and brimstone, and sometimes necrotic flesh
Personality: As is a very friendly person, but she typically won't be the first to start a conversation. She's quiet and introspective most times, but when she has a strong opinion, she's not one to keep quiet about it. The fae can tend to be rather tomboyish, but this doesn't mean she has no feminine side - quite the contrary. A real thinker, she likes to plan out her actions before diving head first into them, which makes her a good leader. This can hinder her when it comes to actual fighting, since she isn't the best at improvisation. Another flaw is that she doesn't forgive easily.

Back Story: Her family was small and weak. When the Astrals came into dominion, they tried to defend their way of life, but some of the younger members broke the new laws. When they were executed, the family was devastated and took to roaming the lands aimlessly. They settled down with another pack and As was born. They left her with the Alphess and she was raised there in hiding with the other pups of the pack. When the Astrals came yet again to enforce their laws, and as punishment abducted some of the new generation of pups, As got angry. She left the pack, fearing she would put them in harm when she set her plan in motion - to end the Astrals' reign once and for all.

Species: Elemental wolf/Kierrn(werewolf)

Scent: Wet earth
Personality: Zhiv is very tactical in everything he does. It was largely his idea to become the protector of the wolves; however the idea was skewed when he and his mate realized how powerful it made them. He does tend to have good intentions, but he won’t sacrifice his new position to try and right things again. The wolf is known to be harsh when commanding and training the pack, and he’s not willing to admit he’s wrong, even when he is. He’s intelligent and calculating to a fault – a trait he will pass on to his son in the future.

Back Story: Long story short, he became the alpha of the Astrals with Hispeth and essentially took over the lands of the Nexxus.

The picture was chosen because that’s kind of what I imagine when I think of him, though not exactly. He doesn’t wear the jewelry (too cumbersome) and his eyes are more noticeably scarred/impaired. Picture (c) Goldenwolf, chara (c) the owner.

Personality: Hitze is a very protective wolf. He's quiet and keeps alot of things to himself, preferring not to get close to others too much. The few that he does let in and opens up to can sleep peacefully knowing Hitze will watch over them and keep them safe. But there's very few who have gotten that close to him and of those few, most of them have died. It takes a long time for him to trust someone enough to let them that close, if he ever does.

Physical Description: Hitze has two different appearances. The first of which is his normal wolf look. Entirely white. White fur, white nose, white paw pads, the skin exposed on his belly is white, even his eyes are completely white. He is not a blinded wolf but he has no pupils or iris. His second appearance is the one you don't wanna see. He bursts into flames and becomes a living, breathing wolf-shaped inferno.

Special Powers/Gifts: Fire Manipulation

History: Hitze was born shortly before the Astral Pack became such a tyrant. For the first few years of his life, things were actually in a decent balance. But nothing good in life is ment to last, as Hitze learned. The pack he was once happy to be a part of had changed and become more and more corrupt over the years. Eventually, he could not continue to be part of something like that and have any dignity for himself. So, he left. His parents refused to come with him, afraid of their penance for rebeling against Ziva or Decebal.
