I'm reposting my Balto fan fiction series, "Balto: Life and Love" here. There are four stories that make up the series, each one focusing on one of four different aspects of Balto that combine to make him who he is.

Balto: Hero is the story of what happens immediately after the movie ends. Balto is now a hero, and Jenna has fallen in love with him after his triumphant return to Nome. Is life in Nome going to be different for Balto now? Will Balto have the courage to tell Jenna how he feels about her?

Balto: Son dives deep into the past to tell the tale of Balto's parents, and how Balto came to be abandoned in Nome as a pup. All his life he has wished for his parents, and now at long last he discovers who they were, how they met, and the greater purpose for which he was brought to this earth.

Balto: Father follows Balto as he undertakes a dangerous mission to save his son, who will die without help. But the journey is extremely perilous, and not even Balto can stave off the howling forces of nature. Not alone, at least...

Balto: Mate finds Balto and Jenna near the end of their lives, making one final journey to a beloved place in the nearby mountains, high above the forest. As they rest and take in the beauty of the place, they reminisce about their long lives together; the first time they met, the time Jenna had to choose between Rosy and Balto, and the time Balto's insecurity nearly cost him the love of his life.

Balto is a hero, a son, a father and a mate. It is all these things together that combine to make him who he is, and there is more to him than he ever imagined, growing up as a scruffy homeless half wolf.

Balto: Hero is up now, and the others will follow shortly. You can find them in my gallery, here:

Happy reading! :D

Oh, good to see your back. I was afraid I'd never get to read those again, until I finally turned them up on fanfiction about a moth ago. :D

Yay! They're finally back! Xaqtly has finally returned! It's great to see you're back here Zak.

Personally, Balto: Son was always my favorite out of the four, and it ended up inspiring me to write my own series of stories about Balto. This inspiration can bee seen when you read my story "Like His Father", as it also deals with Aniu, and also in "The First Day" which deals with similar topics as Balto: Hero and parts of Balto: Mate.

I'm glad you're back, and I'm sure that your stories will inspire others new and old.

You guys are too kind. I feel like a big jerk. I'm sorry I pulled my stories off the site. All I really wanted was for people to enjoy them like I did. Right now I'm pushing very hard to finish my Steele story, I feel like you guys who have always been so supportive of my work deserve at least that much, along with an apology.

Maybe this will help; here's a tiny bit from the some of the Steele story that I wrote just yesterday.

Quote:
She was beautiful in the same way that a sharp knife is beautiful in a certain light, or the way a rainstorm is beautiful in the dark. The more he thought about her, the more he visualized her steel grey eyes looking at him, the more he found himself wanting, desiring her company despite her near constant anger with him.

It's great to see the first three of your stories up, and that quick preview from your Steele story is certainly something. So, it seems that Mr. Glory Hound has an eye for the one dog that hates him... interesting.

When will you have the fourth one up here?

Yeah. Anybody who's read my stories knows that I like to stick very closely to canon, at least as much as possible, and I like to keep the characters in character as seen in the movies. We all know Steele is a huge jerk, but why? How did he get that way, what makes him tick?

My Steele story is a journey into his psyche, and I'm peeling back the layers to expose why he is the way he is. Along the way he has to learn some very hard lessons, and that pretty grey and white husky is just the one to teach him. It starts just after he's kicked out of Nome when Balto returned with the anti-toxin. What does a dog like Steele do when he's suddenly made homeless? He's used to being the king of Nome with everything provided for him, and everybody bending to his will.

He's going to have to learn the hard way that it doesn't work like that everywhere else. Oh yes. There is a lot of anger in this story.

I'm going to upload Balto: Mate today, hopefully it'll be posted in the next couple days. Thanks to those of you who continue to support me. It's very much appreciated.
