NOTE: This is an updated version of this RP's Plot/Rules.

Setting:
In Kyathro [Kee-ah-throh], a vast land that includes several different climates and cultures, conflict has arisen. Long being known as a land that has seen numerous bloody wars throughout its history, war once again has been awakened from ancient feuds and demolished the shaky age of peace. Several leagues away from the heart of the conflict, the old Emperor and conqueror of the land relies on the strength of his armies and the numerous corrupt nobilities that have sworn allegiance to him to squelch these new rebellions. What he doesn't realize is that an old foe is manipulating these groups and plans to seize his empire piece by piece.

However, the main focus of our story is not the political upheaval of the empire, but how a group of seemingly neutral outcasts band together for survival and form friendships along the way.

Band Members
-Lyllii (Anaquine)
-Kasha (Windancer)
-Aaron (Moki Hunter)
-Maiya (Windancer)
-Sespyn (Anaquine)

Villains

-"The Master": He's the guy who's really behind all this chaos. At one point he was a dissatisfied lesser king of an elvish throne, but he's since redirected his focus for much higher ambitions. He mainly makes use of water-based magic. Personality in a nutshell: coldblooded, ruthless, calculating, merciless.

-"The Apprentice": Some guy from Lyllii's past, but he's since lost his humanity. Now, he's the Master's favorite pawn. He himself mainly uses fire magic, but physical elemental projections of himself have been known to use other skills. Personality in a nutshell: cocky, obnoxious, cruel, cowardly.

Other Forces

-Confederacy of Fire: Also commonly refered to as "Fires", this group is one of two self-proclaimed revolutionary parties. As the name of this group suggests, the persons rely almost entirely on fire-based magic. Any race (except water dwellers) can be found in this group. That said, this group generally acts with highly aggressive and spontaneous attacks with seemingly no strategic insight.

-Republic of Water: Also commonly refered to as "Waters", this group is one of two self-proclaimed revolutionary parties. Waters are usually identified by heavy use of water-based magic. Any race (except fire-based races) can be found in this group. However, they are usually harder to identify than Fires because their strategies are more subtle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rules
1. All general AS Rules apply.
2. This universe is monotheistic, meaning, mention of a Creator deity will be mentioned occasionally, but not on a regular basis.
3. Absolutely NO swearing (not even censored!)
4. The general flow of this RP is about Semi-Advanced.
5. Anyone is welcome is welcome to join this RP at any time, though preferably not with vampires, werewolves, or other undead monsters (shape shifters and anthros are fine. :) )
6. If you need to drop this RP, let me know. Also, either assign your character to someone else or write it out of the story (This does not necessarily  mean "killing them off"; writing "And so they parted ways, never to see each other again." works just as well)
7. If you know you will be gone for an extended period of time, it is polite to give a heads up.
8. Most importantly, have fun! :D
My Characters
Name: Lyllii [pronounced "Lehl-lee"]
Gender: Female
Race: Wood Nymph
Age: Appears to be in her late teens, though no one really knows
Appearance: At first glance, many often mistake Lyllii to be either a human or an elf. However, Lyllii carries an almost savage grace about her. When standing at full height, she is just an inch or two shy of 6 ft. with long limbs, neck, and fingers. This combined with her slim build give her a willowy and deceptively delicate appearance. Her high cheekbones, narrow nose, olive complexion, and intense large brown eyes give her an almost exotic appearance. She normally wears her waist-length brunette  hair loose, though she will tie it back with a chord of twine when necessary. Lyllii prefers to wear a forest green tunic (bare shoulders and quarter-length sleeves) with a pair of knee-length neutral colored leggings; she also normally goes barefoot, but she wisely keeps a pair of worn leather boots for when she can't.
Personal History: Lyllii's "birth" occurred in early spring when a tree lost a limb to a gale, and formed from the sap. Like most nymphs, this happened deep in the wilderness (in Lyllii's case, deep in an old wood forest). When she finally met another humanoid, she ended up killing him in self-defense, but his village wanted her blood in revenge for his murder after discovering his body. They found her later and attempted to execute Lyllii by fire. When they went back for her remains and discovered that she still lived, they forced her into slavery to "repay the debt". Eventually she escaped in the confusion of a band of raider's attack on the village, looking back just long enough to discover the fate of the town: buildings raised to the ground by fire, the humans who fought back slaughtered, and the rest captured as hostages themselves. Since then, she has wandered aimlessly, unable to settle, living as a vagabond.
Personality: Lyllii generally has a somewhat childish personality with an almost overwhelming hyperactive and inquisitive nature -this has caused others to label her as impulsive and a bit flighty. When things don't go "right", she becomes frustrated easily, occasionally displaying a fiery temper. However, she rarely finds herself holding a grudge or downright hating someone, much to her annoyance at times, but this doesn't necessarily mean that she readily forgives easily either. However, she does have her moments when she demonstrates maturity and self restraint. Lyllii is often somewhat suspicious of strangers -thinking that they have some ulterior motive- but otherwise generally accepting of others and fiercely protective of her friends.
Weapon/Magic: Lyllii mostly uses an enchanted staff that she can mold into any shape at will (the mass must stay the same though; excess is often wrapped around her wrist like a bracelet when a smaller shape is needed). She can also use plant-based magic, but this generally requires a significant amount of her own energy.
Weaknesses: Lyllii is still secretly traumatized by her past; she is often plagued by nightmares and has a near-phobic wariness of other humanoids, more so humans than elves -and men in particular. Besides being more vulnerable than most to the physical effects of fire (being plant-born), she has an unhealthy fear of that too. Her body is incredibly vulnerable to toxins consumed (like alcohol) and can't consume meat as a side effect.
Extras:
-Like plants, Lyllii can absorb energy from the sun as "food" and go for days without needing to eat. However, if she uses too much energy at once, she needs to eat plant-based foods or rest to recover the rest of her stamina.
-Because plant magic requires her own sacrifice of energy, it's useless for growing food for herself.
-Lyllii can merge with trees.
Name: Sespyn [pronounced as "Seh-spih-n"]
Gender: Male
Race: Water Nymph
Age: Somewhere in between 17-19
Appearance: Sespyn is fairly tall, standing about 6 ft, with broad shoulders and wiry muscles. This combined with his high cheekbones, strong square jaw, and sharp nose give him a subtly sculpted appearance. His skin is a fairly pale olive, almost an alabaster tone, and his ridiculously  long, naturally dark brown -almost black- hair, seems to exaggerate this. His eyes can appear various shades of blue, gray, or green depending on the lighting (usually blue on clear days, gray with overcast weather, or green under dappled light). Sespyn normally wears a sleeveless slate blue tunic, charcoal gray breeches, and waterproofed sealskin boots.
Personal History: Sespyn was "born" of sea spray near a small human fishing village. A compassionate fisherman took Sespyn in, mistaking him for a young orphan. However, the young boy's identity was soon discovered, and the fisherman's wife compelled the man to abandon the child. After that, Sespyn spent the greater part of his childhood wandering along the banks of rivers or the shores of lakes or seas, never lingering in one place for very long. Most of the friendships he made were cut short due to the general prejudice and superstitions held by humans against those who aren't human. At some point, he and Lyllii traveled together with a group of other outcasts, but parted ways after that adventure ended.
Personality: Sespyn generally has a serious and introverted personality. He won't trust what appears on the surface, preferring to watch and wait for further evidence before making a decision, and trusts solid logic over intuition. However, this also means that Sespyn often reads too much into what others may have said or done, and is more sensitive than he'll ever willingly admit. He does eventually relax once he makes friends, but it often takes a while.
Weapon/Magic: Sespyn mostly used an enchanted staff (works the same way as Lyllii's) and water-based magic.
Weaknesses: Sespyn is downright cynical and occasionally pessimistic. This usually makes it difficult for him to make friends and potential allies -his guardedness causes him to come across as aloof and a bit of a jerk at times. Also, being "water born", Sespyn's body is sensitive to extreme heat and extreme cold.
Extras:
-Because water molecules often collect around him, Sespyn often has a somewhat damp appearance.
-Sespyn can breath underwater.
-Sespyn can merge with large bodies of water.
-Sespyn's rucksack is bigger on the inside than on the outside ;D
neat character (I like clumsy/quirky characters, obviously), but is clumsiness his only weakness?
Location: Flying high in the sky.
Name: Kasha
Gender: Female
Age: Around 17 or 18, though no one is exactly sure.
Species: Anthro (Panther)
History: Her father was a merchant who sold a mass of things though the blackmarket. He was a known criminal, and was eventually killed for his crimes. Kasha became a fugitive, exiled as a precaution. She has no memory of whether she was Fire or Water, and keeps an open mind, remaining neutral.
Weapon of Choice: She wears a length of vine coiled near her waist, that could be used as a whip or in an emergency. Her main weapon, however, is a sturdy staff, one of the only things she has of her father that wasn't confiscated for being illegally gained. She has a small dagger in a hidden sheath in case of an emergency. In otehr words, she is well prepared.
Weakness: Overwhelming numbers. Whips and arrows can;t overcome the sheer force of a large army, as they are mainly to be used from a distance. Another is traps, and well thought out plans, due to her impulsive personality.
Appearance: She has sleek black fur, that is somehow kept well groomed, though it does have the stray leaf or twig in it occasionally. Her amber eyes go surprisingly well with her dark green tunic and brown leggings. She wears a leather band around her right bicep, and lacks a pair of shoes, due to the pads on the bottom of her paws. She often uses a mixture of plants to paint certain markings on her face, which is a white circle on her forehead, surrounded by an off-white semi-circle on the bottom. She stands at around 5"7, and has a slim, lithe build. It's overlayed by the graceful way she walks, and the muscles and strength that somehow shows up in her body, though not prominently.
Okay, I guess I'll go ahead and start the roleplay now.
IC: A robed figure gazed upon the scene below him, vicious glee sparkling in his wicked grey eyes. Shouts of agony and fright echoed off the limestone canyon walls. From the distant sea there rose an eldless wave. Children buried their faces in their mothers' skirts as wives clutched their husbands in dispair. The waters blocked the only exit from the valley, for the canyon walla proved too high to climb. The hapless villagers gazed in dispair at their coming fate, which couldn't come soon enough. Suddenly, in a heart's beat, it was finished. Malicious laughter resonated deep from within the robed figure's abdomen and burst forth into a sound that echoed off the rocks and drowned out even the sound of the sea. All became still.
"Master?" a cloaked figure murmured through the quiet. "It is finished. The Water village you targeted was destroyed."
"Did you make sure that the Fires will take the blame?" interrogated the first.
"Of course," replied the second.
The master grunted. "All the pieces are falling into place. Soon, there will be no one who will be able to defy me!" thundered the master.
"Of course, Master," replied the apprentice.
Several years came and went, until no memory of the sacred peace between Fire and Water survived. The time was ripe. Soon the Master and the Apprentice would strike again.
~~~
Lyllii dozed high above the forest floor on her tree branch, content to ignore the strife between the Fire and Water nations. As far as she was concerned, it had nothing to do with her, a creature of the Wood, and was just another feud created by senceless humans. She stirred, eyes fluttering open to harsh light.

"I wish lazy days would last forever," she sighed. She stretched her stiff muscles and dully gazed at the world below. From her height she could just make out a column of smoke belching a league away. "Heh! Those hot-headed humans can just kill each other for all I care!" she murmured scornfully.

Lyllii suddenly launched herself from her tree, plumeting to the earth. At the last possible second, she wrenched a low-hanging branch, flipped in midair, and landed softly on a patch of moss. Her staff, which had been coiled around her ankle like an anklet, liquified and re-solidified back into it's original shape. "Ahh! So bored!" she cried out, bending over to retrieve the staff. "I wish something exciting would happen!"

Kasha unknowingly granted the wood nypmh's wish. The anthros' ears perked, her tail lashing in surprise and a sudden need to defend her territory. She unsheathed her wooden staff, clutching it tightly in a tight, two-pawed grip. She bent in a read position, her amber eyes narrowing in preperation. From all she knew, and had been through, voices usually meant bad things, even if they didn't seem hostile at first. So it was only natural for her to race through the trees, grimly preparing herself for a fight. With a fierce battle cry similiar to a yowl, she leapt out of the cover of the foilage, staff held overhead, ready to bring down to crush a skull if necessary.

Lyllii yelped in surprise to see two non-human figures racing towards her at top speed. Her staff quickly formed into two wooden swords. The flat of her blades faced her attackers in one swift, defensive move. "Oi! Are you trying to give me a heart attack? Leave me alone!" she moaned. A tree root suddenly raised itself in front of Hunter's foot.

Kasha suddenly had a faceful of hard wood. Her breath escaped her in surprise, and she stumbled back, dazed by the unexpected blow. She shook her head to clear it, slightly unbalanced as she crouched, claws unsheathing and leaving small grooves in her staff. "What was that for?!" she demanded, a frustrated hiss edging her voice. From the nymph's tone, she could tell she wasn't hostile.Kasha slowly sheathed her staff, still crouched as she waited for an answer.

"Sorry," Lyllii apologised awkwardly, her staff resuming its original form. "That was ment for your weapon, not your face. Are you alright?" Lyllii's eyes became round with conscern, her frow creased with worry. She knelt next to the earth, murmuring softly as if stroking a small animal. When she resumed her full height, her palms were filled with cool, blue-green herbs, the leaves slightly bruised to release their healing juices. "Here," she said, lightly tossing the handful of leaves for Kasha to catch. "These will help reduce swelling. I don't know my own strength sometimes, heheheh," Lyllii nervously chuckled.

She suddenly decended into a sitting position, legs crossed and hands in her lap, eyes full of curiosity. "Now why did you try to attack me?" she asked, barely able to hide the intrigue from her voice. "I say! I don't believe I've seen your face around here either. Are you new? Perhaps we can be friends! You look like you have a story; oh how I love stories! Do you?" Lyllii quickly raised her hand to her mouth, shock replacing the glee in her eyes. "Oh I'm sorry," she apologised again, quickly rising to her feet and dusting off her tunic. "You don't have to tell me anything. Please excuse my imprudent behavior; my tongue and curiosity get the better of me sometimes, eheheh."

Bell sat in a tree above the three, her face betrayed no emotion it was if she were stone. Her bare feet hung of the branch her dearskin boots where tied to her leggings. On her lap lay a simple wooden flute which she held in her hands. Bringing it up to her lips and began to play a mysterious melody, gentle and joyful, then quite sad.

Kasha held the herbs in one hand, and pressed them to her face, the juice seeping into her fur and skin. "I only attacked you from my own paranoia," she said apologetically. "I've been...a fugitive for...well, a long long time. I guess I do have a story...though its not necessarily a happy one," the anthro finished, her tail twitching nervously. She wasn't sure if she even wanted to share her past with the impulsive nymph....for goodness sakes, she didn't even know her name! "Though I would like to know more about you before sharing anything about myself," she added. "Sometimes paranoia can control an anthro," she said, her voice taking on a subtle apologetic note.
